i am a member of a local car club made up of close friends called Oswego Wheel Power.
one of the guys is trying to get a reserved lane at byron dragway but we have too many open slots.
we havnt made a for sure date, were going between october 10th and 11th, more likely the 10th though.
no preference on car, can even take your bike if you got one. i wouldnt mind meeting some of the CNC crew either.
first come first serve. 10 slots open, call 630-802-9813

Hmm, never been to the drag so it would be fun to finally try it out. What kind of money am I looking to spend if I wanted to go?

its still just $25, if you want the slot you have to pretend your in our car club though. lol.
its just nice because you can pretty much run as many times as you want to.
im having a hard time logging on here so if you are really interested in a slot call or email.

i think we may be doing it the 11th... i cant remember the reasoning though.
i know i cant go on the 10th, and neither can my brother, or zach (event organizer)
i have diving school on that day, but the 11th were pretty much all free.

i wanna see what my new max can do... just would have to let someone else drive it who has experience at the strip... not used to the manual yet.. at least not for racing.

no dude, drive yourself. the first time you line up and see that light turn green and take off is such a rush, cant have you miss that dude!!!
i was in my slow ass G20 the first time, ran a 15.86 with a .066 reaction time because i was SO nervous. it was pretty sweet. being nervous made my reaction time CRAZY good. lol. that was the fastest that little p10 ever ran too.
get used to stick and join us, it doesnt take experience to do a good run. and if you fuck up bad enough, youll just make the guy next to you look good. lol

oh yeah, when they have events they just have seperate sections. they have about... idk, 15 lanes for cars, and they will have 2 lanes specifically for the "Big Bucks Bracket Bash" and then the rest for normal test N tune. and one lane specifically for our car club, so they will have the bracket racers go, then they will let all of us go, then they will go one lane at a time for the rest of the racers.
so yes, we will still be able to race. as long as the schedule says T&T before it says bracket racing. that just means test and tune, in other words, open track.

did you guys actually get to run? I was planning on going to byron this weekend (didn't know anything about this post until right now) but then didn't end up going because they had an event and no T&T. Went to US41 though and set a new personal best so I was happy. Would rather have been at byron though, byron is so much better. Clientele, atmosphere, how they manage the staging lanes, etc.
