Here's my delema. I recently had a tune up on my 01 PFinder. This morning my truck (http://www.chicagonissanclub.net/#) is shaking and the check engine lights flash intermittently. I take it 2 a mechanic who puts it on the machine. These r the codes that came out:
1. P0304 - cylinder 4 misfire detected
2. P0140 - Low 02s activity bank 1 sensor 2
3. P1320 No primary Ignition Signal to ECM
He tells me that I need to fix the first and third and that "should" correct the third. He sends me to get the coil for 1 and the O2 sensor for 3.
I go to Oreilly's they say all I need is the coil (about $67). I go to Autozone they say that what I need is a distributor ($259.99) and the O2 ($47.99) and this should correct #2.
Now I'm not sure who to believe. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! :soccer:

01 pathfinder is coil on plug, aka no distributor. but the p1320 code is stored whenever theres a misfire, ur lucky that it triggered a code for an individual cyl, usually it doesnt and you need to rpl all 6 coils

in 01 they did the changeover from 3.3 to 3.5, there are a rare few that are still distributor. i have run into this before.

Technically the 3.5 was a 01.5 model as I almost bought a NEW 4x4 SE 5M/T 3.5 but there was just 2 in the country.

i always target the misfire first. as faults can always be related to a missing cylinder. in your case, o2 sensors but knock sensors, fuel system lean/rich and more.

How about a 2000 with a 3.5?
My old boss had one, miserable time finding anything for it.
VIN decoded as a 2k :gotme:

There is no 00 with a 3.5.
2001.5s started having 3.5s, 2001 are the updated body style Pathfinders and had the old VG33E.

tell that to his old truck. He bought it by paul's place when it was brand new.
