as the title says, i had an opportuinty to drive this beast at work today and let me tell you, it was the shit. guy came in for new tires, i hooked him up and after the tire install, i rosted the new ones in the back lot.

shit i dropped the cluch in the thing at 5k rpm and burned through first, burned through second and chirpped a little of third, before i had to slam on the brakes. really nice. they were about 30 foot burnouts each and man do i love limited slip. two very nice black lines, nice and fat too (255 wide tires) leave a nice impression.

just thought i should share. oh btw, it was at pepboys, so anytime someone takes your car for a test drive, make sure you listen and see what they are doing. they love to do that type of shit. and jason saw the marks when he came to pick his car up, so i got proof. bitches.

ya, i want to drive the m5. its only 5L, which is a little stronger than the one i drove, but imagine the shit i could do in it. ohh, so much fun.

Yeah those new 5 series bimmers are a blast. Whenever I drive my Dad's 530i I automatically fall in love with it. It handles like it's on rails compared to my maxima. Also pretty quick even with the 3.0. Well anyways my dad might be giving it to me after he buys the new s class. But then I'll have to sell both maximas

Yea I just test drove a '06 m5 last week. it was fucking amazing. So much fun from the paddleshifts to all the power it had. Its everything I would ever want in a car.

I'm sorry but how is a 500hp v10 just a little stronger than a 290hp 4.4l v8?

walec05

its only a 200hp jump. shit, a little stronger.

Ovaltine Jenkins

oh yeah, a 70% jump in power output is just a little stronger.

walec05
06-18-2006, 02:17 PM
ya, 70% is still minor jump. now if it was 72% or higher then we are talking a major jump.

whatever, the car is still really nice, and i wish i could afford one. the fun i would have in it. wow, i can just imagine. oh well, id probably total it if i kept fucking around like that.

the 540 is around 25k. If you're wanting an evo, why can't you afford the bimmer?

walec05

i want an evo, but cant really afford one. and besides what more fun to drive, and rwd bmw or all wheel drive evo with a big turbo. but i might look into the bmw a bit more.

yeah the 5 series with the V8 are great, balance of performance and lexury is nice....especially with the m5, what a blast that was to drive

Im assuming any repairs/parts for the bmw will be a lot more expensive than the evo or wrx??
And any modification you want to make will be expensive too. bmw aftermarket is expensive with companies like Dinan.

ya. thats another reason i dont want to get a bmw. repairs will cost up the ass and modifications cost an arm and a leg as well.

but as you saw jason, a stock 5 series with as set of 265/50r17 tires really leaves a mark. thats the thing that appealed to me the most, besides the power of the engine.

maintenance on a bmw is about the same as a 4tg gen maxima.

the maintanace part im not worried about. its the more rare stuff braking that im worried about, like coil pack burning out, the rattles they have, replacing the tires, which costs alot more than a maximas tires u know, stuff that i will have to do down the line that will cost alot.

my sisters bmw has had so many problems i would not want to deal with it unless i was making as much as she is.

i love driving her 02 540i, that thing hauls ass, and i get to basically drive when ever i feel like it

This is why I will never take my car someone else to have maintenance done to it.
