If you need any additional help, let me know... I can be a scout of places for things... how many cars usually show up for that event? Maybe something can be done using schaumburg's woodfield lot? Ask if we can close off a large section that is mostly never used...

btw: i was thinking about being the main guy as well, but I kinda don't have a maxima...
I would love to use Woodfields location, but in the past Schaumburg don't likey us F&F people in Woodfield, but I will ask Schaumburg and hosts to hold such an event.
So is this offically offically in Chicago?

my .02 is to be closer to a track in order to avoid losing people over long trips.
maybe we should rent out mccormick place.

Im pretty sure renting out McCormick place is out of the question. Main reason is cost. If I had 200+ cars willing to pay up front and as a definant that they will show up, plus spectators that is willing to pay a entrance fee. Then yes. Sure it would be nice to have it at McCormick, but renting out a room would be a lot of money.
I was thinking that too have a location closer to the tracks, but there is nothing near GLD or Byron and Blackhawk. Neways all these locations are appox under 2 hrs from downtown Chicago. But more than likely the meet will be held in the suburbs of Chicago.

Xander, if you need anything, let me know... I agree with you on McCormick place being way too pricy. and the entrance fees are always absolutely ridiculous. As I said, lemme know if you anything.. you know where to find me.

I would say preprinted extremely clear directions would help people get to the right places... chicago has everything that's needed for a large crowd, just that it's all spread out...
