View Full Version : Prospects for Sponsors
This thread is made for prospective sponsors to sponsor our event.
I just got back from the Glendale Heights dealership and talked to a Keith Narozny and he is definantly interested in sponsoring our event. And just like Paulo said from the other Nissan dealership, that he needs more information. Location and what not. But when he gets more info he will be talking to his advertising guy to make flyers of some sort. But from the looks of it he is really hoping to see me again. Which I think is a very good thing.

What I would do if I were you, is talk to the trib or another local paper (i'm sure there are tons) and try to get a feature article/interview in there. Papers are always looking for big local events, and this could be another way to get the news out.
Also, ask around to restaraunts and other business's, because I'm sure they would love some advertising, and providing food/water/etc would be very beneficial for all.

Xander.... just a lil FYI, Glendale Nissan and Woodfield Nissan are both owned by the same owner.... Bill Slevin. I know alot of people over at Woodfield as I used to work there, but I dont know if they are willing to do anything for us as I never asked. I am usually tight on time durring the weekdays as I work long hours thanks to CMC and the .org with all the Maxima work after hours. Everyone wants a faster, nicer looking Maxima this year it looks like.

actually I think Dave is being pretty realistic at this point.
From what i've seen on the org this will end being maybe 50 cars (way high estimate)
basically our local group plus a few.

When I did my show in June, I got on the web and went to any web site I could think of to put a little thread about the show.
I went to car domain and searched cars in the area and gave each person I thought might be interested an invite and a compliment.
I tried local car clubs (many have web sites) and dropped them an invite.
It is all very time consuming but in the end I pulled almost 100 cars to a 1st year show competing against two established shows...and raised over $500 for charity.
The biggest key in all of this is that you first have to have a date and a location set before you can invite people. That is also true about sponsors. They always seem to ask for date, location and how many cars expected.

Maybe i should ask those fools from Martin nissan since five of my family members bought cars their.
I have already asked Glendale Nissan, and they said that they are definantly interested, I just need to print out a copy of the proposal for them and deliver or send it to them.

Someone ought to contact Bob at www.danase.com His website sells detailing supplies...and he's located in Michigan. I have bought many things from him.
He may be interested in some sort of sponsorship and/or helping with a detailing 'clinic' at Maxus. I told him about Maxus last year, but he wasn't able to make the trip to Texas.

That would me nice, a "Auto Body/detailing clinic". I'll get a proposal letter together for him. PM me if you have any contact information about this company.

Optima might be interested seeing as the parent company, Johnson Controls, is located in Milwaukee. Would be great local advertizing for them.

this is true, they are local, and this would be really good advertizing for them, maybey they could bring some batterys as prizes or something........that would be nice.
I just got some stuff from Meguiars, 8 bottles of Quick Detailer, 8 bottles of Wax Cleaner, and some leather wipes. I was hoping for more but we will see in the next few weeks.
