Degreasing motor

How safe is this to do... I've always been scared to spray water on my engine bay, but people tell me its ok to do... anyone do this on their max. Any possible problems? Thanks for any help.

just cover the air filter and don't use high pressure water.

I still rather do it all by hand. I don't trust the engine bay in any newer car. Just get some simple green, or engine degreaser spray, and wipe off excess.

my filters in my fender anyways so should b ok, but imma take it off anyway cause it requires cleaning also.

Cover the MAF sensor too if anything.

yeah ill do that, i think imma have my friend do it hes done it a few times before. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.

if you use chemicals by hand, i heard it messes up the headers when you spray them...
