What's Up, I'm a new Maxima owner. Just got a certified 04 Maxima SE with 23K miles. It has the Driver prefered package and hid options but no Navigation.
So far I replaced the stock grille with a classic polished. Put on a lower Billet T-rex Grille and Chrome door handles. Inside, I hardwired a radar detector on the drivers side windshield. I'm looking to order a set of strut tower braces and sway bars. I also would like to add a sub to the Bose system.

Well I'm still trying different things with the car. There's not many options with the grille. Since the car is already a dark color I just wanted something that you could see. Some Maxima owners paint the stock grilles to match the car but I don't see the point with a dark color like smoke or black.
Thanks to everyone that checked out my ride.
I like it alot and for some reason it drives better with 87 unleaded gas. With the premium I can actually hear engine knock. Only thing I can think is that for the first 23K miles someone only used unleaded ? Other than the gas and the stock RS-A tires this car is a real machine.
I usually only see young guys with big 22" rims and tinted windows on this car. I would like to see something other than that with this car.

Again thanks, My old ride was a 2001 with 105K miles. That was my second Grand Am because I had crashed the first one. That car was very fun to drive but had no where near the power of a Maxima new or old. I raced a 00 maxima on the highway once and it pulled on me from 80mph and left me doing 120mph. The GT had nice low end power but that was it. I'm 27 going on 28 and it was time to move up. The new Grand Prix is ugly from the front and side in my opinion. This made the new Maxima look all the better to me. Working on my credit was the reason I had to take another GrandAM. 12months later and I was able to get a Maxima with Nissan. The salesman kept trying to push me in a new 4cylinder Altima and the Manager told them to find me a Maxima or I was going to walk!

True, I did my research and know that the 5speed 3.5 Altima is quicker. And I even tried to get a new Altima SE-R. That car was $30K and no one would finance me for that. I never saw a used Altima SE-R. Also, I couldn't see my self spending 30K for an Altima just for speed, when I could have a Maxima with speed and luxury and more options. If I was going to spend $30K than my options would've included more cars. So I took a certified used Maxima for 23K. I don't regret it. In my opinion the 04-06 Max looks better than the Altima. I never liked the tail lights compared to the Maxima. Both are good looking cars compared to the rest. At the very least I now get the respect in this ride. In my Grand Am I had to show everyone what the car could do:rotz: . I get older guys in their Avalons trying to ride on my bumper but thats about it.
The 3.5L still kicks ass regardless of what car Nissan puts it in.

welcome. I'd like to say I like your car and what you're doing with it but I'd be lieing. The new grill you have looks bad IMO. You made fun of people with chrome 22's yet your grill is just a huge slab of shiny metal. You cardomain layout is really bad too. You can't see your comments cause the character color is almost the same as the background color.

I said I usually see this car with 22" chrome rims or something. If you look on cardomain that is what you will mostly see. I only said I would like to see something different done to this car. I think chrome on a grille and driving on big spinning chrome is different. Not many exterior aftermarket options for this car and most of the grilles are polished or chrome. I picked what I liked best. I understand everyone won't like it. I'm not a kid so it won't make or break me if someone thought it was ugly or not. I'm only 27 and this won't be my last car. When I'm ready for something else then I will drive something else.
Thank you for being honest.
