There're some people I won't charge on basic principle for all they've done for my car. And those that I do charge will get the Zaino treatment that my car gets and what Mike's 5th gen got. Even then, it'll be a reasonable price, depending on the vehicle (trucks, minivans, etc. will be more than a sedan or coupe)

Well, you've started another 'addiction', Ty!

As Hector said, a rolling stool is almost a necessity, IMO. Also a small table of some sort with wheels to hold the polish/wax and MF's. (I got sick of knocking over the bottles when I just set them on the floor)

Mr Grey

I'll bring the camera. I have my lil bro giving my car a mini detail today. I actually had drop me off at work. I was messing witht the Meguiar's 3 step steail, and topped it off with 2 layers of S100. the car feels smooth, looks clean, and it doesn't have the waxy feeling to it. The thing though is that I don't like how my hood looks. If you don't mind I would like to try Zaino on my hood.

Mr Grey

Waxing or polishing is usually not recommended to be done in the sun. I'm not planning on doing anything more than a suspension swap at the meet.

He's taking my setup. I'm currently riding on H-Techs with GR-2's. I ordered some K-Sports...hopefully they come in before the end of the week. I was told they are made to order. basically every time they order some, then they are made. It will be shipped any where from 7 to 10 business days. I ordered them last Thursday.

It's a lot easier when you get stuff at cost. But, that comes with having a Meguiar's small business account. :D I have a 30 gallon rolling toolbox that is FULL of waxes, polishes, QD's, QW's, etc., etc.

I used to have a mobile yacht detailing service last year when I lived in Jacksonville, FL. Did a lot of work for a yacht broker, he'd buy a 50' boat for $500,000... have me detail it, NO OTHER WORK DONE TO IT... and sell it EASILY for $650,000.

I miss those days... soaking up the Florida sun... working for 3-4 days and making almost $2K.... *sigh*

I was born and raised here in Bloomington. I'm a chef by trade, detailer by hobby. Last year I took a "working sabatical" from the service industry, and got into detailing professionally. Got certified by Meguiar's twice (one for automotive, one for marine), set up an account with them, and get into detailing fairly heavily. I washed 15-20 boats a week, waxed 8-10, and did full details on 2-4. It got to be WAY too expensive in gas/commuting (average 300 miles/day), and that was back when gas was $3.00+/gal. I was actually *losing* money on all of the wash jobs. And, naturally, when you rack up 65,000 miles in 4 months, the car couldn't keep up. Car blew up, couldn't afford to fix it, got back into the restaurant industry. Did that for another year, got an offer to relocate home, took it, the restaurant went under before I even got there, had to find a new job. Got one, and now I'm looking to move again to downtown Chicago to work at a *real* restaurant.

There. Just summed up my entire last year in one paragraph.

I think I'm going to use it on the Rav4. I've found that I prefer my Z5 Pro mix on my Maxima without a Souveran topper. The Collinite will top my Z5 Pro mix on my girlfriend's car the next time I see it.
