internetautomart asked me on another site (maxima.org) to come here and offer my help. I live in Madison and host a car cruise-in every sunday. What can I do to help? I do not know what is needed and do not know what I can do to help, but what can I do?

What I know;
I have done two shows
I do know of a good trophy/dash plaque company
I know how to contact Maguires for sponsorship
I will help anyway needed

Just let me know.

welcome, nice to see that there are some people here with some experience...no disrespect to anyone trying. Well, you can do a couple of things to begin with. Start talking to companies and see if you can get sponsorships. I know you have a hook up of sorts with Meguiars, that's good. Please start spreading the word locally, and see how many people you can get to commit to show. i know it's a next year, but some people can plan a mini weekend vacation for Maxus. Thanks for dropping your hat in the ring..........

I don't have a lot of experience, but will help anyway I can. Meguire's is fairly easy from what I experienced. You have to fax them info on date of show, how many cars expected and a 7 day period to send promo stuff. It usually takes a couple of months before they will send stuff. I will have to look in my records for the address.

Trophies and dash plaques are just a matter of money. Rallye Productions are pretty inexpensive (comparitively) and they have a lot of various designs to choose from. It takes about 1-2 weeks of back and forth emailing and phone calls to approve art and designs. Then it only takes three weeks to receive product.

The easiest way to get door prizes and gifts to give away is to go to various shops and ask. Most people are pretty good about supporting something that they feel will bring them business, or get their name out there. They can often write it off as advertising. It takes a lot of leg work, and an area the size of Chicago...wow.

I will start to check out various places on the web for sponsorship and promo items. I will let you know what I find

I actually asked a shop I know if they would be interested in sponsoring. He is, but he wants a proposal :ugh:

Oigh proposals, I dislike proposals, but whatever it takes to get at least on shop or company to sponsor this event so we can save some money. Someone is gonna have to help type this up, its been so long since I wrote one.

Brian

oigh is spelled OY.

I don't write, that's why I'm stuck without owning my own store. If I could write a proposal I'd be rich or at least comfortable.

when we went golfing, I hit my head on the trunk latch I felt pretty dumb. Today I realised I had a gash open when I did that and have a BIG scar on my head...

Mr.Duck
08-11-2006, 01:09 AM
when did you do that? was i there?

kkozy1982
08-11-2006, 01:10 AM
oooo... that sounds painful!

if it makes you feel any better, i've opened the door and hit my eye with the corner of the door...

Mr.Duck
08-11-2006, 01:11 AM

Ovaltine Jenkins
08-11-2006, 01:11 AM

08-11-2006, 01:13 AM

Ovaltine Jenkins
08-11-2006, 01:15 AM
opened the trunk, leaned over to put in clubs, leaned back and up, bang goes the skull right on the trunk latch. Being tall is overrated...

kkozy1982
08-11-2006, 01:18 AM
awwww... i guess being tall isn't always a good thing. Being short has more disadvantages i think tho. It's ok dave! hopefully, your injury isn't too bad. havve y ou had anyone take a look at it?

Mr.Duck
08-11-2006, 01:18 AM

Ovaltine Jenkins
08-11-2006, 01:20 AM
what's there to notice? I hit my head, touched where I hit it to check for blood. There was no blood so I carried on. Apparently the blood came out duuring our best buy trip...

kkozy1982
08-11-2006, 01:21 AM

Ovaltine Jenkins
08-11-2006, 12:10 PM
yeah, it rained yetserday, somewhere not here, and the water was orange. The company here is SHIT and I don't understand how the residents here put up with that shit. Anyway, I just ordered one of those $1200 whole house filters to take care of that...

kkozy1982
