i've got some ideas to throw out there...
1. goodie bag... give a goodie bag to those that register on friday which includes the stuff sponsors want us to hand out, and some stuff i am about to say...
2. t-shirt... brian was saying something about a t-shirt he has... how about we get a t-shirt to hand out as a reminder...
3. CD... they can be very cheap nowadays so we can maybe make a cd with song selections from the committee members (no popular tunes, i.e. dave cannot pick gasolina...)
just some ideas... what y'all think? i know the t-shirts might get a bit pricey so maybe somebody has a hook-up or a sponsor can pay for those by including their logo on the shirt...

t-shirt isn't too, too bad. i know someone that works at a printer for tshirts so i can ask her what the prices are. maybe we can even get a sponsor to sponsor that if we put their logo on there.
cd's... i have no clue what you mean by no popular tunes??? and why not gasolina??
goodie bag... good idea... let's see what teh sponsors have to say first...

sponsors Brian = cattman
CD I don't think is a good idea, taste is too subjective.
Goodie bag with keychains, stickers etc.. from our sponsors is a good idea though that would kind of take away from the door prizes, unless we get some real shit dor door prizes.

no popular tunes = songs that are not easy as hell to find... gasolina i can find with my eyes closed while taking walking upside down on the ceiling... like a remix or underground stuff from chicago... you know, to make it a representation of chicago's diversity...

yeah, the door prizes would be something we'd spend a little money on... main prize can maybe be an ipod nano (<- most popular doorprize ever...)

once we have a proposal with $$ I can submit it to some shops who will pony up $$ if they think its worth it.

we're pretty close to that actaully. i think we just have to bring it all together and then... submit! we need grammar check and agree on an estimate cost.
Brian

maybe we should just go with a sponsor cost regardless of what our expected expenditures are.

i believe sponsors will want to know what the estimated cost to cover everything will be and then it might depend on how much they spend on us and when we make any flyers or antying advertising this event, the more they donate, the bigger their name on the flyer will be kind of deal.. that way they get in more advertisements for their own company in as well..usually companies like that(from what i have worked with in the past)
you get what i mean?

platinum sponsor = $1k or more
gold sponsor = $500-$999
silver sponsor = $250-$499
bronze sponsor = $100-$249
sponsor = $1 - $99
something like that, right?

well, yes and no.
1. We need maximum expense amount.
2. We need to finish up the proposal and write in detail how much money will go to what.
3. Decide on what the prizes and wht not(kind of ties in with number 2)
4. your idea with what their benefit will be if they put in that much money.
Do you guys think we can get this done within the next week? sometimes it takes sponsors months to reply and they do need to get the money together... even if they're a rich company. the bigger the company, the harder it is to get the money from them some times kuz they have to go through so many people...
if we're serious about tshirts, i'll talk to my friend. just let me know. and i'll come up with some kind of money proposal benefit for sponsoring thing.

problem is, we don't have anything to offer for cattman since he's already a sponsor on the ORG and he gets 100x the exposure there that our fliers ever will...

talk to the t-shirt person... say they can put their company's contact info on the shirt somewhere if they can knock off the price... i think we can just show them the types of sponsors they can be and they'll decide... nissan will probably choose platinum and i know that platinum is usually 1 (rarely 2) sponsor...

see if we can get a major mag to cover it, we have that as a value added proposition.
so who did we decide is flooding the cardomain maximas with maxus info?

more publicity with the tshirts and whatnot. i know he gets exposures but this will be good for the ricer people too.. if we get tshirts and whatnot... vinyl things made for cars to pass out for them.. then, especially this area, he can get more publicity that way. people might not look twice at the flyers but names like cattman sticks in people's head..especially if it's big and repeated on tshirts too.

if you look at the pics, they are actual dealers... almost like subliminal advertising... maybe a dealer could sponsor us with those... they look cool, too...

maybe. we'll discuss the minor details later. i think the bigger issue needs to be taken care of first. I was thinking the size of teh name on the back of the shirt or somthing and keeping the front relatively simple should be good.

that looks TACKY.
hopefully, we'll get something nicer.
if we go through my friend, i believe there's no ginormous minimum so we can spend our dollar a bit more wisely.

well the front needs to say: My Maxima went to MAXUS 07 and all I got was this Lousy T-shirt!
That idea sounds great if we are not graphic design oriented, I'm pretty sure all of us and especially Kozue can design a t-shirt and send the artwork to a t-shirt press and have them make it and there is not a "minimum required." Cuz I highly doubt that we will sell 100 to 504 t-shirts. Unless one of us can contact them and see how much it would cost if we sent our artwork and give them a figure of how many t-shirts we need and see how much it would cost. Of course we need to make money off the t-shirts so we can get some of the money back for other things that we had to spend on.

To funny.
