I just did my 4th gen w/ my new PC7424, sonus sfx-3 pad and z2 pro (mixed w/ zfx and grand finale)...it has NEVER looked this good! Pics tomorrow as the sun's down now. One layer of my Z2 mix applied by the PC looks better than multiple layers done by hand.

so from all that detailing, do you have burns in the paint, yet?

Nope. If you keep the machine moving, you won't burn the paint.

All the previous detailing he's done has been by hand. Hand will not leave burn marks, you can still damage the paint if you use too strong of a product.

Wait, is there anything special that the PC does that other machines do not? Or is it an agreement that man < machine?

good to see there was difference. At the past meet I saw Mike, and Raven's car next to each other. they were both smooth, and clean. however, Raven's car looked a lil darker. mike's car looked a lil milky, but still black.

I can't wait until I start fresh on my car next year. Strip it completely, work multiple polishe/pad combos and re-seal w/ my PC. Hell, I might just do it this weekend after I get my engine.

I'm doing both Saturday, and Sunday. As a matter of fact Tom and Tim are coming down Sunday to get the Spec V tinted. they might drop by for a lil bit. Either day works for me

Any info on what you used as in the pc and pad combo??
Any info on what you used as in the pc and pad combo??
PC7424
SFX-3 finishing pad
Z2 w/ ZFX and a shot of Z8 - Grand Finale mixed in
Process:
1. Spray pad w/ Z6 QD
2. Apply Z2 mix in "+" diagram
3. Dab the pad on the car to prevent sling
4. Dial PC to "3" and do east-west and north-south motions on a panel
5. Dial PC to "5" and repeat
6. Buff off w/ MF bonnet set to "3"
Mr Grey

Hmmm...I would have buffed it off with a microfiber. How did the bonnet hold off in terms of excess build up?

Never batted an eye. The thing about applying Zaino w/ a PC is that the layers are so thin, you only use about 1/3-1/2 of what you would when doing it by hand.

Hmmm... I know the key with the machine is smaller portions, but too small a prortion and you end up rubbing into the paint....I know waht you mean though. I'm still refinning the process. It's funny, but instead of doing a bigger surface area at a time, I find myself doin smaller areas with more practice.
