wow, that was a dumb thing to do. you should have turned into a side street and parked. they never find you if you just have a plain car.

It's funny but by the title of the thread, I thought the OP did the sideways Mambo but when I saw who the OP was, I realized, nope, no way.

I had this happen to me once, some ricer in a auto riced out GXE 4th gen tried to race me. After spanking him 2 times, he kept on going so I decided to show him for the last time how embarassing slow his LED washer equipped, spining hub cap 4th gen is.... I flew by a cop on Golf Rd at 110MPH which was going the other way. I did a few runs through the small side streets and got home. I think the Indian kid in the 4th gen got busted thou.

I don't stop for cops in the city. Sorry.

Cop told me once that the people who get tickets are the ones he can actually pull over or get their plate...

ya, thats true. a cop wont chase you if he thinks your bound to get away. its too much of a risk to him, and with him not chasing you, your less likely to cause a crash.

i heard that cops cannot pursue anybody anymore unless the offendent has a warant or something... like if you start the chase if the cop pulls you over for tints and you have a clean record, he should stop chasing...

DasTeknoViking

If thats the case watch out for more Maxima vs Squad car Kill Stories :)

I doubt that is true, as anything nowa days can outrun a Crown Vic.

1. a cop is not allowed to pull out unless he is clear of traffic. in other words if you're doing 75 and you've got a solid stream of traffic to your right doing 45 he shouldn't pull out
2. high speed pursuits are not allowed in the city on the streets for a misdemeanor

Brian

it probably varies by municipality

TurTLe

it might be confirmed but remember, even can be fliped around if the cop knows the judge or knows how to work the system which they go up against daily.

man i was driving home to detorit last night and me this a4 and a 325i were just crusing all 3 of us just going a little over 100+ just in a str8 line, and this cops comes out the bushes. pulls up behind me and starts to flash his lights and he pulls over the a4. i was ready to wet myslef if he went for me.

ya, its usually the first or last guy that gets pulled over. thats why i hate being at the back of the pack, especially when your speeding and the rest of the pack ist getting away and you have to go through red lights to catch up to them......sort of like most of our cruises anywhere.
