Damn... that sucks. No tint FTL, and living in Norridge/Harwood heights FTL too. Fockers don't like tint

WOW!! really I live on 87th and about Roberts road just down the street from there! That sucks!! Probably at one of the parking lots around there I take it? Cause I hope it wasnt parked on someones driveway and they did it there that would make me a little uncomfortable.

yeah problem is you will not get any of the restitutions for your stolen items. Items have to be wired into the car and installed in order to get any $$$ back from your insruance. I went through this when my car got broken into few months ago and the insurance didn't cover my bluetooth mirror setup I JUST installed. Did you have a TomTom or something ? I might be selling one still in the box....... dunno if my father-in-law might want it or not.

wired into the car you say, how about hardwiring your radar detector?

Ehh I don't yet, I could use this in my new pad. We are 1st looking at real estate before we get married. I just can't make up my mind about a house.

Kowalski
09-14-2006, 11:13 PM
something with a garage bigger than your house... :D

DasTeknoViking
09-14-2006, 11:15 PM
That would be nice, but if that where the case my marriage wouldn't last long as I would spend all my time in the garage vs chilln with the wifey.

I like the sound of a large house with lots of land, but that also means BIG time property taxes, and lots of expensses + expenssive initial cost. I'm looking at high rise luxury condos and town homes. I don't want BIG property tax bills, nor do I wanna worry bout my heating bill or my roof leaking.

I still got some time before we punk down the dough on our 1st house togheter.

ty's house was a good deal... lots of land, nice house, $20x,xxx for it...

DasTeknoViking

No disrespect to Tys house or anyones house really.... but all NEW houses are JUNK. They are built like ass. Everything is crooked, floors are all like flimsy feeln when U walk over em. Roofs leak, drywall aint installed right. New houses are nice to look at, but I preffer a older house.

I was looking at Algonquin area, lots of nice ranches for sale. I don't wanna move south from Schaumburg area.

Anywhere within 15 min of Chicago is piss poor neighborhood. I don't care what it is, Chicago area is a dump. Its north west sides about 35 miles away from Chicago where there is some peace n quiet.

Friend of mine from work keeps on pushing me to buy a crib in Aurora.... I tell him I dont wanna be going through Naperville border patrol to go to work every day. Aurora is like Mexico City II.

I do not like Naperville eighter, and I drive about 40 miles to work every day. So 35 miles away from Chicago is good with me. I hate driving to Chicago with passion, I hate the city. So if Chicago was 80 miles away from me, I would still be cool with that as I don't have to drive there.

I would like to find a place in Crystal Lake, or maybe Volo. That area has alot of farm land etc. Just that it would take me hour and half to drive to work as it would be more like 60-70 miles one way.

you know where you should look, is like fox river grove... granted, theres some expensive housing around there, but theres also some older housing too, thats really nice. a couple of buddies of mine live in that area.

well as mike said, the new houses only last up to ten years cause they are so poorly built. Our house in streamwood is about how ever old my sister is and it still standing, but going little crooked.

How about south elgin? or this vicinity?

Aurora has some nice areas and it's cheaper than Naperville especially in regards to taxes. If you want to live in the area, but don't like Aurora or Naperville you should consider Lisle or maybe even Downers Grove. I live about 3 blocks north of downtown Naperville and really like it. The downtown area has some good bars and resturants all within walking distance. Taxes freaking suck though!
