today I raced my friend 97 BMW 328is automatic from a 10mph roll. I peeled all of first gear and a little of second gear and he was never ahead of me, only slightly gaining when I shifted. Once I hit 3rd gear in the upper rpms he was gone I had him by atleast 2 car lengths. All my car has is a stillen Y pipe.

orly? by him saying "he was gone" it sounds like the bimmer just took off, not really making it sound like he beat him. Or do I have poor comprehension? lol

Yes, reading comprehension > you
If you continue to read, he states he had the 328 by "atleast 2 car lengths"

Correct, BUT he says "he was gone" I think "I was gone" would be more appropriate or he was "left behind" but "he was gone- I had at least 2 car lengths" sounds wrong to me. Oh well.

thats it. no if and or buts. that was a whole sentence. no commas nothing.
i thought they would take off in higher gear. they seems fairly decent on the highway. I have a 318 that i need to go up against

Anything can be made fast with the right amount of money.
Stock though I dont think they are any better than 15-16 second cars.

Del-Slow came in 3 diff engine variants.
S-aka SLOW model had 90HP engine at 1st then upped to 106HP.
Si- Sport Injection- uuuuhhhh aaahhhh- 125HP thanks to WITEK.
VTEC model was powered by a B16 with 160HP.
VTEC ones where fun to drive, pretty quick lil cars. Bout as fast as a auto 4th gen.
There was no Turbo Del-Slows.

i would prefer older MR2 turbo over del-sol, IMO looks much better when cared for

MR2 is a big money pit. They use a Corolla tranny that can barely cope with stock power of the 3SGTE.
