View Full Version : Springs or shocks make the ass sag?

ok i have an se... with stock shocks in the rear... i have gr2 in the front.. no the back end seems to sag especially when i put someone in the back seat.. i saw my brother drive away with the car and it just squats and goes... i have subs but i dont think thats what is causing it cuz im running no spare...

any ideas.. the back seems real soft also

springs wear out and sag over time...

hmmm... i dont know if its that or just the shocks cuz they are pretty bad too..

The springs are what hold the car up.

People under estimate struts. If the struts are blown then the car puts more pressure on the spring.

well...does the car bounce if you push on it...if it does then it's the struts.

he never said the struts are blown. sag=worn springs...

well the struts are both leaking like a mofo.. thats why i dont know what to replace first somebody told me that the 97's have problems with the rear springs...

the struts are blown, it's obvious they're the problem. Springs are springs, how can they have problems on 97s only? replace the struts, if it still sags, get new springs...

thats what i think im gonna do... cuz when i replaced the front struts the front end rose up like an inch.... and still is higher now and that was like a year ago....
