Today when walking to my car from school I see this long ass scratch on my rear driver side door. It seems as if someone keyed the car. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it less noticable? I have some touch-up paint as well from nissan but I'm not sure exactly how to use it. Any help appreciated.

the looks like someone might of just scraped it with their bag or something. i have a couple of those from shopping carts, they suck. anyway, try to buff it out, hopefully it didnt go too deep.

It looks mostly like a surface scratch. I have one that runs real deep, but a lil polish, swirl remover, and wax will cover that up a lil more. Mine is real noticeable, but becuase I have detailed the car soo many times people don't notice it as quickly. Many here on the forum have seen it andf are shocked. I got that scratch when I was working in retail...the person really dug deep with a key. It was obviously intentional.

meh, leave it? haha... ive got a good amount of dings on my car... when you live around here, you tend to get used to it. especially with me, i work at a mall, so it happens daily.

my door is a lot worst then that. I would live with it. But then again it looks like a simple fix, seems like a good detail would take care of that easy.

I agree with Hector. Wash it, clay if you'd like (it would help remove any foreign material). Then start polishing. I would imagine a lot of it would come out. Then seal/wax.
It's hard to tell how bad it is...the start of the scratch looks a bit more serious than the rest of it.....any close-up pics?

Seems to have faded more, a lot less noticable. Might do some major work on it over the weekend, or during the day. Thanks for the tips.

yeah, it doesnt look that bad anymore. its still noticable, but give it some love and care, and you could make it look really nice.

Need a rotary or Porter Cable....
A small bit of rubbing compond and elbow grease might do the job.
