Seriously.... for 9K there are better cars out there.
I doubt shes looking any crazy speed, so check out some used 01-02 Legacy GTs. Extremely reliable cars, beauty of AWD.... If not then I would go for a 5th gen, 4th gens seem to have way too many issues- especially with rust.
Think bout all the work you keep on doing to your car all the time... do you wanna do the same to hers ?

that 99 is a SE-Limited... rare package, only available in 99 and 99.5.

let her drive the car first to see if she even likes it
the 98 looks like it has a poop stain in the back seat
also check for private ads autotrader or craigslist
when buyin private u pay tax on the year (which is few bucks) compared when buyin from a dealer you pay the tax from the whole amount

2nd link is better but mike is right. There are other cars to look at besides a 4th gen max for her.
If you like that car, give them some lowball figure and see if they bite. If not, walk away and find another deal. If they are that hungry to sell the car and you are that hungry to have it, maybe you can work something out.

I think a 99 or any 4th gen is not worth more than 7k.........

As per the original window sticker that the previous owner had from my car when I bought it...
"Titanium tinted SE-Limited badging"
"Titanium tinted 16" 5-spoke wheels"
"Titanium tinted Maxima badging"
"Titanium tinted guages"
"Embroidered SE-Limited floormats"
And mine's a cloth interior, but the leather ones got SE-L embroidered in the backs of the two-tone perforated leather.

i like your choise mike, only if it was turbo......from what i have noticed and from what jason has told me, the turbo makes a huge difference on the car.

Def. get an awd car if you can. That legacy is nice, I like the look of the older model.
The turbo is nice to have but the N/A version is nice as well and gets the job done. Its not like the turbo cars are fast from the factory, I wouldnt say my car is that fast stock. They just have good potential for more power when modded.
