Looking for a video camera.... HELP

Ok i got a panasonic GS29 for Xmas.. but i noticed that its not that great in low light...

im looking at the Canon Elura 100.... which is rated camera of the year.. somebody shed some light here.... i dont wanna spend more than $400

I got a DCR-DVD105 Handycam by Sony. It records on mini DVDs and works pretty good in the dark. I was thinking bout returning it now to Best Buy for Store credit towards the Sony HD camcorder with built in hard drive.... they got a few open box ones for about 1K.

For my purpose, it works fine, was cheap (fell off a truck kinda deal) and came in a sealed Sony box.
