great more burnout videos to prove how fast a car is...

You don't have to do a burnout to burnout. The car is very torquey causing 1st gear to have no traction when floored. Besides, civics can do burnouts if they wanted to.

What do you expect to run in this car?
High 13's maybe??

nismo3112
10-10-2006, 03:56 PM
^ That's what I ran at Byron earlier this year..

walec05
10-10-2006, 05:28 PM
yeap probably high 13's or really low 14's.

Biggs
10-10-2006, 08:18 PM
terry should have ran better. i was expecting like mid to low 13's from him. disappointed me :-(

Biggs
10-10-2006, 08:41 PM
everything is runing fine except for the idle and the tps which i'm buying from paul :-) gonna get the tb adapter also from stephen. Antoher thing that is bothering me is some crazy ass road noise! i mean when i go faster this, what seems to be road noise, just gets louder and louder. I'll have a video of it up soon so you guys can help me figure like wat the fuck is this noise...it's annoying as hell. There's nothing mechanical about the noise...i suspect the tires.

walec05
10-10-2006, 10:36 PM
yeah im guessing the tires get really noisy at high speeds. make sure the tire pressure is all set and fine, and double check that alignment.

Kowalski

i suspect the tires.

it has to be the tires... that's how it is in my altima... put the stockers back on and drive around...

Goldtooth
10-11-2006, 12:09 AM
yea, that road noise is pretty damn loud in the altima,
my friend has a maxima with high performance tires, and its much louder than mine on the highway.....all my sources point to tires.......

Biggs

i agree wif dis...

10-11-2006, 11:45 AM
I had these wheels on the S2000 and it was quiet. This sound has been present on this car since the day Assandtits got the car. No clue what it is. Believe it or not, the sound is quieter then when Assandtits had it.

Biggs
10-11-2006, 11:48 AM
maybe it's because you had the wheels in the back and and your loud ass exhaust made it less noticable.

Kowalski
10-11-2006, 11:48 AM
seriously, would it be that hard to switch the rims/tires? maybe then you'll see if you have rubbing issues or something of that sort... i honestly would put my money on the tires... what tires are on there? research them and see if they have complaints about noise in website feedback sections...

Biggs
10-11-2006, 11:50 AM
i was about to do that but then i don't have shoes on and i'm too lazy right now to go outside LOL plus i got class in an hour so i'm too lazy. lol

Kowalski
10-11-2006, 11:51 AM

Biggs
10-11-2006, 11:52 AM

That was with the 15" wheels. Unless his tires on those wheels were shitty as well. haah

10-11-2006, 11:54 AM
lol video sucks. The camera didn't catch the smoke coming out of your tires.

Kowalski
10-11-2006, 11:56 AM
wow, something is wrong with that first gear for sure... my ears started bleeding when i watched the vid...

Biggs
10-11-2006, 11:58 AM
had the weird little zaappp noise at the begingging wierd.

Biggs
10-11-2006, 01:03 PM
they are yokohama avs sport....maybe too many heat cycles and now they're screwed?

Biggs
10-11-2006, 01:04 PM
it's the tires.....people say that these tires are extremely noisy and even with the radio crank up it's still noisy

b00b
10-11-2006, 01:58 PM
Probably just shitty camera quality making weird noises.

walec05
10-11-2006, 09:39 PM
yeah, i watched both videos, and i got no comment.

Biggs
10-11-2006, 10:56 PM
yeah found out that it's the tires that is making that piece of shit noise.....and i'm not going to need the tps anymore paul. I just checked mine today and it works fine. i just gotta put on the pathfinder tb and my idle and everything should be good

Biggs
10-11-2006, 10:56 PM

This minivan owns you.... Not too impressed with the quality of your wireing job !

Kowalski
10-11-2006, 11:46 PM
wow, that thing looks badass from the front... i'd force my mom to buy it if it was in the US...

Pablito
10-11-2006, 11:50 PM
what the hell...why does that van seem kinda quick...interior looks the same as my cousins 07 quest

DasTeknoViking
10-11-2006, 11:58 PM
Its AWD so its a bit slower.... but it would give most of the minivans here a run for its money. Elgrand is a high end minivan in Japan, it comes with maaaaaaaany features not even found in this market. You can't compare it to a Quest, they used to be RWD and AWD... I don't know if they offer it in FWD and AWD now or are they still avalible with RWD only.

Pablito
10-11-2006, 11:59 PM
its the same 3.5 as in the U.S. tho?

DasTeknoViking
10-12-2006, 12:04 AM
No, I belive its a VQ35DD version which has about 300HP- thanks to direct injection, that we can't have because of our crappy gasoline.

Older versions even came with VQ30DETs - aka Turbo VQs with 320HP with potential for more. They offer it with VQ25DD, VQ30DE and DD and VQ35DE and DD... from last time I read bout em.

Also the sprint is 0-100KMH not MPH.

Biggs
10-12-2006, 12:07 AM
yeah i'm not finish with taping up the harness and looming it yet. I still gotta do a couple more sensors so i'm not going to tape it up and everything until i finish

walec05
10-12-2006, 06:49 AM
yeah, thats a nice minivan. the new quests are all FWD, the older ones were nice when they were RWD. i drove one of these new quests once, and its pretty shitty. its got little to no pickup....unlike the altimas and maximas. the interior sucks, and the seats are uncomfortable as hell.

Kowalski
10-12-2006, 10:31 AM
dude, your car has little to no pick-up... 4cyl + autotragic = FTL

Biggs
10-12-2006, 10:35 AM
i believe he's talkin about the 3.5 altima

Kowalski
10-12-2006, 10:38 AM
he better be talking about the 3.5...

walec05
10-12-2006, 05:41 PM
yeah, im talking about the v6 altimas like jasons.

Nissan never sold a RWD minivan in US. The old Nissan VAN was RWD. They recalled them long time ago for a fuel system recall.... well the dealerships didnt know how to work on them and most of them where catchin on fire after the recalls. Nissan bought back every one of those cars. Why you probably will never see one on the roads in the good 'ole US of A.

i agree with you paul...i drove my cousins 07 quest, and it didnt feel like a nissan, though i thught the interior wasnt too bad...i was so glad to drive my max right after. Granted its a heavy car, the 3.5 didnt seem as strong as i woulda guessed. Much different than driving my friends I35...man that was fun.

Biggs
10-15-2006, 10:23 AM
stupid loud ass noise is still there :-( i swap the tires from the back to the front and it's still making that noise.

Kowalski
10-15-2006, 11:17 AM
from back to front won't do anything since it is the same brand of tire... we are saying to trade with your stock rims completely... take the aftermarket rims out of the picture completely...

Ovaltine Jenkins
10-15-2006, 11:18 AM
It's not the tires............

b00b
10-15-2006, 11:47 AM
The front and backs had different tires.

Biggs
10-15-2006, 12:13 PM
it's the brakes....i jacked up the car today and checked it out...the driver side is fucked up as well as the passenger side..let's just say the "ass" i bought the car from replace the rotors with used ones and probably didnt' put on the brakes right so i'm putting on new ones right now.

Biggs
10-15-2006, 02:26 PM
well that particular sound was not from the brakes. The brakes was making another sound and now that's fix but then i got that annoying road noise still. I believe it to be from the passenger side axle.

Grzesiu

wheel bearing?

Biggs
10-15-2006, 02:55 PM
it's not coming from the wheel bearing, it's coming from the middle of the engine bay...like coming from the axle....maybe where the alxe is bolted to the engine??

Grzesiu

Biggs

you can't hear it from the outside.....i don't know......you can hear a metallic noise though but that's from the brakes and i fixed that.

Biggs
10-15-2006, 11:11 PM

walec05
10-16-2006, 07:24 AM

hey, ill check at work, but last i looked you cant buy a ball joint seperate from nissan for a 95 maxima. you need the whole control arm

Brian
10-16-2006, 10:51 AM
all that means is that nissan doesn't want to sell it seperate.

does nissan sell the bushings seperate?
I can buy them seperately
