I'm going to post whatever pictures and updates i got on this project for you guys who can't make it to the swap. So far I only have ordered parts

-VQ35DE - 50K for - $800 ( you could get like a 20K for 1000)
-Fuel Pressure Regulator off ebay - $40
-SPEC Stage 3 Clutch - $311 (nismo recommended this one)
-01 Pathfinder TB - $115

Stuff that I have to do/get
-Clean Engine
-Take out cam ship to tilley get the cams drilled
-Belts and all that other crap
-Emanage Ultimate

Stuff I just got while i'm doing this too

-Steering Rack
-97-99 front end conversion
-CarPc (Navi and all the goodies)

Right now i only got the VQ35 in hand. Others are on their way. Hopefully i'll be done with this by end of next week. I'll keep you guys updated with pictures and whatnot

lol...the engine is sitting in my mom's van right now. b00b and i went to pick it up last night at a hub driving around for awhile and couldn't find it....got home found out we don't have any place to put it and it is 400lb's so we couldn't carry it down ourselves. Then we decided to cut the crate and leave the engine in the car till we need it.

update.....didn't get much done today....just cleaned the engine and took manifold out, went around driving for hours trying to find a place to buy the NGK sparkplugs....nothing.....had to order them for pickup tomorrow. for tonight the engine will be outside covered with a huge plastic bag thingy..hope no one steals it. It's on the lift (not hooked up) and locked to 2 clinder blocks. tomorrow i'm going to pull the cams and pull out the old engine.

So i got the cams out and called tilley and he said he can drill them asap but he don't got any spacer in stock so he gotta order them....which means i won't be finish with the car this week :(. na i made the decision after i talk to nismo about it. Nismo told me that it felt pretty much like stock, not very stiff. That's wat he recommend me to get so that's what i got.

yeah cams didn't come yet....so i'm just like removing all the wires and crap now. All that's left to do is lift the tranny and engine out when the cams come in. Everything else is done.

So i'm like man I think i'm blind or something so i looked throught it all again 3-4 more times... NOTHING!!!! So i called tilley and told him what happened and he's like yeah he remember putting it in there. So i look again while i was talkin to him like 2-3 more times. NOTHING!!!! WHERE ARE THE ****ING SPACERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is just hopeless.....He said he'll send it out to me today or tomorrow but wat the **** is that gonna do? Maybe he put it in the other guy's box that didn't order the spacers i don't know...but i am very very upset right now....

so we pulled out the engine and called it a night woke up today opened all the crap up from the engine, sensors and such. When i got the timing area exposed....i was shocked. All the timing stuff had burn oil all over it, looks like someone didn't change the oil. uh oh. b00b and i are cleaning it up right now and then we're gonna put them on the 3.5. Engine will probably be in the car today. WEEEEE.

personally I'd pull the heads and run pipe cleaners through all the oil passages just as cheap insurance, of course that's assuming you have another car to drive while you're f-ing around with this one

yesterday, i was gettting rdy to drop the engine in...only needed like maybe an hour to put on the oil pan and the timing stuff. So i'm putting on the oil pan...and i'm like Where the **** is the damn oil seal....looked for it the whole day...nothing...so i ended up working on the basement again...installing floor tiles...another week gone to waste. Looks like friday now...oh and the those bastards at murray's gave me the wrong differiental oil seals....damn them!!!

yeah, steering rack is on now, i got power steering bitches! Everything needed to be done before the engine can go in is done. So looks like it can finally go in.

It's now laying there waiting for the exhaust manifold to be put on along with the intake manifold. After that it's go time!. Engine will be in very very shortly.

350z IM manifold is in. It sure does look ugly as shit so I'll probably invest in an engine cover one of these days. The injectors and the harness are in. Just need to put in the tubes and do the throttle body. Have absolutely no time tomorrow so the car will be done Sunday for sure.

don't use an engine cover, it just keeps heat under it.

we modifiy the 2k2 tb with some stuff from the 3.0 2k2 is drive by wire the 95 is not. I think he rewired his car and used the 3.5's ecu so he can use the tb without modification. You can also use the pathfinder's tb and don't need to mofity anything. Can't use it right now because i'm still looking for an adapter.

just checked it out and the fpr is leaking and is not holding pressure. I'm gonna get that checked out and try to fix the leak so it'll hold pressure. Also i get this weird "poping" noise...wat could it be...

This is pretty much going to be a driver's race. Both he and I are new at driving stick and he's never been to the track. What I know is that he launches at 3500 RPM because his tires will spin like mad otherwise. That is why my VQ30 4th gen is neck to neck with him in 1st and a little bit of 2nd gear.

She started with only ONE try and has no leaks or anything =D. Now I have to figure out what to do with the hood. haha. This took a total of 2 1/2 days. We did everything over again including rebuilting the engine with new 3.0 equipment. See you all at the meet.

oh man i have been doing this project since march and haven't updated for 2 months!!! well here's the deal. I got a new vq35 with 40K on it for 450 bucks. Got a new car to do the swap in since the other car was such a piece of shit. White car is being parted out. I got a muarron one now. Today i pulled out the dek and put in the vq35 and the tranny. Tomorrow i'll be wiring it up and give it a start. Hopefully everything goes well and i'm alll donnneeeee. wish me luck guys.

well...great news... we were pushing it out because it was starting to rain...and when it was in the street...the fucking bearing took a shit and yeah...i had to do a hub transplant in the fucking rain...and with all the luck...it stopped raining right after i finished...but yeah everything is in...just need to connect one hose for the fuel connect some coolant hose and couple more electrical and it should start right up....hope for the best!

been cold the last 2 days...but this is what i gotta do so far:

-Connect the Gear Position Sensor (splice the 3.5 into the 3.0 harness)
-Connect the Oil Filter Cooler Coolant Hose
-Find a missing Motor Mount Nut
-Connect the wire harness to the alternator
-Pour oil and tranny fluid in
-Put in Battery
-Turn the Key to Start the Engine

ha! no sounds or leak. that coolant log leak was fixed from the gasket that i bought from you. I'm going to need a valve cover though. the tensioner was making noise upon startup but after while it went away. I installed all the exhaust stuff....there was an exhaust leak at connection of the headers and the y-pipe, it went away. i got a maniflow muffler. Somehow the car is just too quite ...i want it louddddd

u had one, remember. it didnt go so well, so you abanoned it.........why put a nissan motor in a honda. to cause more problems. the hubs wont be the same, custom axles will be a must....well pretty much everything will be custom.

car is not running as smooth as i want it too. High idle due to not having an iacv and tps is not adjusted yet. I'm going to do both when i get the adapter made by stephen max. i don't want it to be idling above 1K

The cam adapters gone bad.

He just put in new spark plugs because one was dead and OMG this car is fast. Talk about 1st gear burnout! Video up in a few hours. Jesus.
