View Full Version : How to convert wma's to mp3.
I was just wondering if anyone know's how to convert or if there is a free program I could use to convert wma's to mp3 format? Because I wanted to put some songs on my cell phone to use it as a mp3 player, but unfortunantly it only plays mp3. I searched the net, and only came up with site where it said to just load the files into your itunes music list, or there are programs but they charge to dl them. I'm not looking for any illigal programs either I want a legit program to convert my wma's to mp3's.
Whenever I do that. I go to www.download.com. They have plenty of 30 day trails for those kind of programs.

I have a couple of programs at home, and I think my computer has a program, but I never used it so I don't really know.

like I said, iTunes... but what kind of phone do u have?
I have most of the apps for the Moto RAZR and I think one of them converts AIFF and WMA files to MP3.
FYI, I don't know of any programs that convert protected windows media files...

Easy CD DA Extractor 10 You can convert files and even change the bitrate, I wouldn't recommend making a low bitrate higher (duh) but you can definately make a 320kbps mp3 into a 64kbps mp3.
www.downloads.com search for Easy CD DA Extractor 10 and yes its a 30 day trial

download nero 7
Yea but that'll take way longer than program I suggested and still do the same :)
If you do decide to DL nero 7, go to the official website and DL the trial and then you'll know what to do with that trial, wink wink

What kind of phone is it? Certain cell phones play more than just Mp3's. I didn't know my razr V3m played AAC+ ( iTunes songs) until I mistakenly added them into the memory card . It also plays WMA's ( unprotected). I assumed it only played mp3's.
Guess that's what the owner's manual is for lol?
Thanks guys for you input, ill look those sites over.

i use this one. and it works awesome. ive never had a problem with it. you can choose what bitrate you want the song to be converted to as well. anywhere from 32-320. im pretty sure the one here from download.com is a trial version, but ive had it on my computer for a couple of years now. youll just have to hit TRY NOW everytime you open the program.
