I just called Blackhawk again, and for that weeked, Blackhawk is out of the question now. A competition is going on that day. But if we were to rent out the track it would cost appoximately $5000, plus $20 per car, and $125 to hire a paramedic. According to them almost the entire season for the weekend is fully booked. Except a weekend in April and a weekend in September. This really sucks now, but now we know we have to look into a autocrossing in a parkinglot of some sort. Oigh

Ok here are the notes from last nights meet.

We were thinking of a possible date change to join the Sentra guys at Blackhawk farms on the weekend of June 1-3. But thats only if there is no possible way to get a roadcourse on a weekday possibly on Thursday, June 22nd, or Friday the 23rd.

I'm going to setup a poll on the org if people would like to come a few days earlier to make it to the roadcourse meet. But that would mean more money for fellow orgers to spend for a hotel. The following options will be:
1. Want it on a weekday and come early.
2. Want it on a weekend and join another car group.

Note: This is only possible if there is a open date for that week of Maxus or following days after Maxus. If majority rules for joining another car group I'll try to see if that other group would let us join them.

There might be a possible addition to the classes to the carshow meaning more trophies, but there won't be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, only one winner.

Still need to hear from many of the sponsor that we sent letters too. I will follow up on them before next meeting.

Geo T, has a connection at Asiago's in Schaumburg, his sister is a manager there and he will see what kind of money we are talking about if they were to donate or cater for the meet. Possibly to feed appox. 100 people since, its sounds not much but there will be other foods availble for people to eat.

Kozue has set up a gmail account and pm's on the info on the gmail account will be only sent to ONLY committee members.

Donation cup:
This past meet only $20 was donated by me. So there is a total of $91 in the cup. The follwing list is what people donated and the percentage they will recieve of the total profit we make at the meet.

Donation Cup totals/percentages as of 2/11/07:
Mike Jez - $25/$91 = 27%
Dave Duck - $5/$91 = 5%
Kozue - $5/$91 = 5%
Jessica - $1/$91 = 1%
Xander - $55/$91 = 60%

Spoke to Hampton Inn again thru my mom and might be able to lower the deal from $75 per night to $65. So its possible that the attendees of Maxus will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Hoffman Estates off of Greenspoint Parkway and Higgins.

Four months away from Maxus meaning there will be two meetings per month from now on then. So next meeting will be on Feb 25th. SO MARK YOUR CALENDERS. Advertisement group I need submissions of a logo for Maxus it could be a WIP (work in progress), you guys might of seen it but any suggestions would help a lot. The need to be in photoshop format, bit, tiff. Jpeg is ok, but the quality is lost overtime everytime you open that file. Please email them to me at ghttopnoy@aol.com. Send me a pm as well saying that you sent me a file. Because as much as I try to, I rarely check my aol email account, maybe once every 5 days.

As I mentioned before, talking to the SE-R guys if we could run with them wouldn't be a bad idea. Those guys are pretty cool and we share the same platform pretty much with them - xcept ours is a bit looooonger.
