What do you guys think of this exhaust?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1NcohM1ToE

I need some opinions of non wrx guys. Im tired of their 16 year old bullshit ideas.

Or this one.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ZoVXyM954

I like the first one I think the best but we'll see.
These are both the moderatly priced ones out there. I dont see a need in spending lots of money on a catback, its just a pipe to me and most sound the same no matter how expensive. If it is too loud I can always have a resonator welded in as well. Both of these are under $300.

i like the second one better. someone told me blitz is the best sounding exhaust for the wrx, if youre looking for sound

the second one has a deeper sound but there were no revs in that clip so i won't say that would be my choice for sure... either way, you will without a doubt get sick of the exhaust sooner or later...

Blitz is expensive for sure. New they are going for around $600 just for catback. I like the sound of those though.

Andy, I do need a 3" catback exhaust to go to stage 2 on this car though.
I already have a catless downpipe, just need to finish off the rest.

a coworker on nasioc has the blitz exhaust... his name on nasioc is wrxzboost... he is sick of it... maybe he will trade you his near mint condition one for your stock one... contact him and tell him i told you about him...

Blitz is too loud, louder than the ones I posted.
I am too old to be running around with loud shit, but still want to have some sound. Blitz is a little too much sound.

ive actually got a buddy who has an exhaust system that sounds just like the first one. ill try to find out what he's got.

I say you go with a apexi ws2, cause I have it. That exhaust can not sound bad on any car...

all three of those exhaust clips are loud.....man, its gonna be just like the altima with the exhaust. loud as fuck.

i would go with the second one that you posted, even though i hate those huge fart cans.(i know my car has them, but im gettin rid of them)

never again will i put like big exhaust on my car.

Just_A_Wrx
02-07-2007, 09:44 PM
Well, the bad part is the look of it.
I dont like the look at all.
And, my altima was quiet.

Ovaltine Jenkins

so you like the coffee can look?

Just_A_Wrx
02-07-2007, 09:48 PM
No, I def. dont. Thats whats holding me back from these, but the other catbacks with standard mufflers are very expensive. My only other option is to get a magnaflow muffler and piece a custom setup together myself but I dont know what it would sound like.

ws2 is ~$500...........
has a nice, huge oval muffler....

Ha, nah its ok man.

walec05
02-07-2007, 10:06 PM
yeah, so back to jasons exhaust........

i like how the stock one sounds, but jason says there is a leak and shit because of the downpipe mating surface, so go with a nice classic 3". but something quiet. i bet its outhere, you just have to find it.

I thought you sold your Altima Paul ? I read a few diff topics where you mentioned that ?

Jason, talk to my brother on AIM - hes got a WRX wagon with some mods done to it. He will tell ya what to do and what not to do. Maxima wankers won't do ya any good, its your car so why listen to anyone but yourself ?

Ovaltine Jenkins

?
what a contradiction
don't listen to anyone but yourself...............and jez's brother...

Asking a buncha 4th gen drivers what kinda exhaust to put on a WRX is almost like going to a Civic forum and asking for help picking out a exhaust for your Supra.... IRRELEVANT.

Seriously, Suby mods considered ask my brother- there aint no one on this forum that knows WTF they are talking bout when it comes down to EVOs or WRXs.

yeah, but with this car, i think im only gonna run it for a couple months at max...its a nice car, but its a quick sell, so i can make some money off of it, and continue to buy and make money.

but thanks for the welcome. i should have mine in a month.....my bro should have his in a couple weeks.

^Ha. Or Ill just throw one of those thrush glasspacks on it.
Thanks for the advice, just thought I could ask someone other than subaru people for sound advice to get more opinions. Your brother told me he would be in town this weekend and I might be able to hear the exhaust in person, which would be great.

Like msot here i like the second one better sound nicer.

Just_A_Wrx
02-08-2007, 05:10 PM
Problem with the second one is his car is with stock downpipe and mine will be with catless downpipe, so it will be louder.
Anyway, I found a great deal for a slightly used catback on the forums that I think I will jump on. It is a dual tip, more normal looking muffler. This one was actually one of my first choices but they are costly when new. Not as loud as the other ones I posted but still gives some sound.
If its loud I will have a resonator welded in.

This one......

Hides up under the bumper pretty well too, so you only see part of the muffler and tips.

that sounds like a nice one....
