i have had my maxima for about 6 months and i really only have some small questions but im on maxima.org like 24/7 so i am learning alot. my car feels so god damn slow like i checked the vias and that seemed perfect still my car is just so slow like i ran it at the track and got 16.5....also my muffler just rusted off so i took that off and i was wondering if i took off the resonator would it be to obnoxious????? thats it for now

Welcome, and yes the car would be real obnoxious without a resonator...more so anything higher than 2k rpms..........

my car like is loud at 1800 RPMS and like 2500-2700 RPMS which i think is wierd because when i floor it or something it gets pretty darn quiet

Howdy newbie.... you most likely need a new MAF sensor. Its a common problem- "slow acceleration" is caused by a decaying MAF.

If you race your car you will break things. CV joints is your least worries, it your trans that you should be worried about. I'm on my second trans already, and man if this goes out I have no car for a long time since I have no cash to rebuild another one, unless I take apart my old trans and interchange the good parts from the bad ones, if the same parts are not broken.

i drive an 00 and i had a question why does racing ruin ur tranny i am just flooring it in drive....isnt the car supposed to do that...also i dont just floor it 24/7 because u would be a dumb ass to do that kind of stuff....im very nice to it until somebody pulls up next to me and also i raced a lincoln navigator and i lost to it....i also raced a 97 integra from a stop and from 40 and i lost...the car doesnt even have V-TEC....the car has 140HP and i still lost....i really hope the maf sensor is the problem right now

i head on the newer navigators if you turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, the car might lift off the ground an inch or two ... anybody hear that?
