So the steering wheel starts to shake when going over 35/40mph. When the car was bought at around 9K miles it was doing and they said that the tires needed to get rotated. They did that and the problem stopped. The car is at about 17K and it is doing it again. What other than the tires need to be balanced might cause this. I dont know what kind of tires are on, but do know they have about 60% of thread left.

maybe you have some ice or snow on inside of the rim, clean up the rims and see if it still does it

it's most likely the tires again. Maybe they were patched or something....

So the tires might be bad?? I dont know if i should just rotate them or get them balanced.
I will also try to clean the snow since it was bad last night when I took a look at them.

Broken belt on the tire will cause it too.

Wouldnt that be kind of noticeable? Wouldnt I see the tire buldging out a bit?

Depends on where the belt broke.
it probably broke in the tread area where you won't likely see it.

they might be miss ballanced. or like posted above....you might have snow inside your rim.

It appears that it was the snow. Thats crazy, its one of those things that might not have crossed my mind. Took it on the high way, hit 70 and like new. Thanks for the help guys.

I had snow ontop of my LCA and the my steering wheel shook like crazy. But with no snow on there smooth as a baby's ass, maybe not as smooth but close to it.

its most likely the tire. i believe there was am ssive recall on the '05's to have their tires replaced. they tires got a flat spot on them during the transportation. with your new ones. a lot of people on the Altima forums complained of this. mine does it at times but you learn to live with it. replace your tires and itll more than likely go away.

Thanks for the input but the tire is fine. Snow packed into the rim was throwing it off balance.
