I'm looking to buy one of these phones. Not sure if I should look into the tmobile MDA or Blackberry Pearl, but overall it seems this phone is a great all around phone priced cheaper than other phones in the same category. BT, Wifi, keyboard, and it's pretty small. Does anyone have this phone and can share their experiences?

my coworkers have the MDA and they love everything about it except the bulkiness of it... i plan on getting an MDA when my contract is up... they are extremely easy to play around with because they have microsoft windows running on them...

i've owned the SDA and MDA myself. My GF has owned a MDA and DASH and the pearl. we both go rid of our MDA's i hated it.
dash is nice, i feel the buttons are a little small for a guy to dial normally one handed. I'm a strong supporter of one handed phones. The MDA is a must have 2 hand. you will never be able to dial normally with 1 hand. just too hard. the touch screen is nice but blah. battery life on the MDA was bad. i came from a long line of smart phones and i enjoy my SDA very much. The DASH is nice other then the fact that it has the small buttons. Wifi is great on both. Both can be overclocked, a lot of nice windows features. The pearl was never a phone for me. I mainly just watched videos on the MDA. Its a hit or miss on those phones cause everyone's life style is diffrent. between those 3 (MDA, SDA, dash) there should be one that fits a person who wants a smartphone. My friend had a pearl and he went to the chocalate 2 months after because it was overkill for himl.
If you would like to buy a tmobile phone out of contract i have both a MDA and PEARL for sale, both phones are under $200. I don't know how much my g/f wants but we looked for selling it for $200 even last month and no one wanted it. both phones are in beyond great condition. Its in her closest right now. let me know.

I would buy a PDA if you need the WiFi E-mail access deal.
I was down the Treo route before, considered a BlackBerry and other phones that have a keyboard on em. They are a pain in the ass to use.
Yesterday I returned my ghey Samsung that I got from Verizon on Sunday. They keyboard was sooo small that I absolutely hated it.
I ended up getting a repleacement phone identical to my original- BRICK, the VX9800. In my opinion the Brick is the best phone in terms of features and usability.

the keyboard is nice on the dash, i have some medium sided fingers and i can test pretty nicely on the dash. But driving while texting or dialing on the DASH is a hell no. the MDA is the same thing. try hitting in a 7 digit number on that touchscreen one handed. voicedial is a great feature but if your trying to get a hold of a person not in your contracts hahah.
Smartphones are great phones but they don't fit everyone's life style. Personally when wifi phones came out i was oh man i can do this here and do that. WRONG. actually its just so much easier to have a internet package plan for 20$ where you can go on EDGE rather then roaming looking for a hotspot and then finding a key and all that shit. I like my SDA cause its a 2gb ipod to me since media player is on it. Other then that its just a calling phone.
The features on these phones are amazing but seriously consider what you will use and what you want for an OOHH AHH feature. the whole wifi thing, if your trying to check you email and you find a wifi spot, it might be a lot faster to just walk up to the computer then to go on your phone.
BUY my phones =P

um cool looking phones.. not so much. I got a lot of older phones. and the whole windows mobile line up from t-mobile. i normally go thru a phone every 3 months or so but nothing is hot right now. i was gonna get a blackjack but lack of wifi. tmobile's line up sucks compared to cingular's.
tmobile runs only on 1900 GSM, find a phone that runs that and unlocked and your golden. I picked up tons of phones only in asia thru some family members and yea,

I dont know what type of person your girl is and all that but, those Sony's w810 with the digtalshot camera 2.0 MP camera with built-in walkman would be a nice little gift $200-300 at the sony store. My female has the dash and i have the Tmobile SDA right now same phone just diffrent platforms.
Let me know if you looking something in particular new or used, i roam around china-town every other weekend and talk to them importers often enough. probaly pay ebay type prices but i can probaly deliever it to you.

6800 looks cool.... good shape ? Woman is picky bout "used" stuff so she can't know its used :P
How cheap can you get the W810 ? It looks like a cool phone with the walkman and all..... Ebay sometimes isn't the best place for phones. I seen people bid over 500 bux on some phones you can buy at the store for 350 with no contract.

my 6800 is in great condition for the most part. I use it on trips because of the FM radio it has on it. plus great battery life. I see a hairline scuff on the screen and it hasn't been droped. some minor pitting on the fold out part.
i'll get back to you on the W810, haven't been down to chinatown since i moved back.
