Wow guys, im impressed, not buy the way the car looks (looks great) but by the engine. Hopefully this engine wont dissapoint anyone. Looks like nissan is starting to do more engineering, at least with the VQ.

Front end looks WAY too much like a IS350 from a profile shot.
Rear deck lid has this BMW 7 Series look to it.
Tail lights look like a 6th gen or a SC430.

It looks cheap to me.

yeh looks real cheap when its a mixture of an IS350/7 series/SC430 :glare:

but seriously though...in my opinion it looks great. nice wheels. i like the even wheel gap. also like the wheel flushness. Headlights look phenomenal. and gotta love the Infiniti grill.

overpriced?? lol

it only has 18" rims, HID headlights, 14" 4 piston front/13.8" 2 piston rear rotors, 36% stiffer chassis, VVEL which supports continuously variable TIMING and LIFT! - u can basically change cams by the use of a laptop, 4 wheel steering, 11.0:1 compression ratio, perfect rev matching for auto, LSD, dual intake, dual exhaust, tubular header design....anything else i missed?

NSX > G37.

I really don't care bout stock car performance

Legacy GT some tweaks 400AWHP and 450TQ, excellent handling.

I am not going through mid life crisis yet- No Vette needed.

and the tranny goes bye bye on the legacy
then u need to spend another 3-4K on better STI trans+ beefier difs:)
NSX is way out of the league considering price wise

that is what i said
no point of comparing
since new nsx was in the 80s or 90s price wise
a Z06 would wipe the floor down with the nsx, and will give you 20K for a daily driver

Its like saying Exige S is slow because it has 240ish HP....

yeah but C6 zo6 is not an american turd like most of the other american cars and it can handle its own
C6 Z06 did it in 7:40, so yeah i guess it does handle like shit and NSX will wipe it....NOT

remember guys, this car isnt targeting a NSX or a ZO6,
this car is targeting the 335i,
according to the article it whoops the bimmers ass in handling, which is great!

btw, compare the new skyline to the NSX or Z06 once it comes out

DasTeknoViking
03-21-2007, 04:47 PM
Nurburing is not a good track to compare times with.

500HP 7L V8 vs 3.2L V6 295HP.

'Ring is a high HP track. Try Laguna Seca or Williow Springs raceway where Sentras leave Supras and Vettes in the dust- seen a G20 spank a Supra on at Button Willow.

Long stretches are what helps those high HP cars.

I've driven the old ZO6 and a NSX. 15+ year old car still handles better.

jvelos3
03-21-2007, 05:59 PM
supras have far better performance than a sentra or g20.....tracks that allows them to surpass supras are the POOR choice here.

whats handling if u cant get from point A to point B????

the nurburgring nordschliefe (sp??) has always been used to compare with since it has great curves and straights. it is a great overall track to test all things that encompass a great performance car.

the C6 Z06 is not anything like the older ones. the new ones are much better than the NSX in both the turns and straights.

DasTeknoViking
03-21-2007, 06:40 PM
the C6 Z06 is not anything like the older ones. the new ones are much better than the NSX in both the turns and straights.

And you would know because you drove both of them on the 'Ring ???

Obviously you lack the knowledge.... you can make a old Sentra a crazy track car. Supras are pigs, they don't handle THAT well.

Friend ran a almost completly stock 94 G20 5spd against a Super Street cover car 700WHP Supra..... yeah he lapped the Supra on a 20 min session 2 times. When they put a pro driver behind a seat of that car he did much better.

Still got beat by some of the SE-R drivers with NO turbos, just all motor power with tons of suspension mods and experience.

Buttonwillow- track that really shows the advantage of a great handling car vs pig of a car with lots of power.

I don't see the Exige or Elise on the list for crazy track time.... why ? Not enough power to get them around the track fast. YET they are pretty much the most hardcore handling cars out there you can buy for less than 75K dollars.

jvelos3
03-21-2007, 07:43 PM
so ur saying that a sentra is better than a supra??

the sentra with suspension mods may handle MUCH better and get better times than the supra....i agree with that. BUT what im getting at is, that kind of track where a sentra can beat a supra is NOT a good measure for overall performance.

it doesnt matter if a car has the most power or if a car has the best handling...what matters is getting the right amount of both in ONE car. a track that is regarded by many as one that can accurately gauge both handling and power is the Nurburgring Nordschliefe (sp).

DasTeknoViking
03-21-2007, 07:46 PM
I rather have a Sentra than a Supra... but that is just me. 93 SE-R in black with 0 miles on the odo.

Overall performance to me is.... I go on a track like Gingerman, I whop a Supra or Z06 or what not in a Sentra or a EVO. After the ass whoppn I can say- My Sentra or EVO is a much better overall car.

There is more to car than power.

jvelos3
03-21-2007, 07:54 PM
thats called good handling...one aspect of performance. not overall performance.

dont get me wrong...i love the ser's...i was actually looking for one a while back but couldnt find any. very rare. and i love seeing the underdog win. (underdog power wise) but i dont believe a track that allows a sentra to beat supras, Z06s, Z32s, and such is a good track to scale overall performance on.

I cant handle these ridiculous debates... Its all opinion. No matter what numbers you come up with, or what ever stats, it boils down the person and what THEY prefer. Theres no way to debate that. Its like saying a McDonalds Cheeseburger is better than a Burger King Whopper because it tastes better. When the Whopper is clearly 2-3 times bigger than the Cheeseburger. Its all based on personal opinion. One person may like more power, one may like better handling and one may like a nice combination of the two. Its difficult to say one is better than the other when they dont fit in the same categories.
