Its for cleaning rims? Not doing a brake job but would that work also on rims?

It might work on rims, but i think it would be a lil too abbrasive. Start with something light like concentrated all purpose clenaer, and dilute it with little water. It might take a lil elbow grease to clan it up. I know there's a cleaner that's stronger than simple green, and will clean it perfectly, but I have to look it up, and you can only get it online.

For hard to remove dust I suggest Castrol wheel cleaner. It works pretty good in removing brake dust. Key is to use it with some kinda brush. I used it before, 1 bottle lasted me bout 3 car washes.
I tend to wash my car bout 1-2 times a week, depends on the weather.
My wheels attract dust like a MOFO.
BMW sells special dust reppelling WAX for wheels that you apply. Its supposed to keep the brake dust off the rims. I have yet to try it but a few friends of mine have used it and they say it works pretty good.

i have the Axxis metal master semi-metallic pads and they put out lots of dust - a pressure washer does the trick, though. It comes off easy.

I use a product called Wheel Wax. Seems to work well. Brake dust comes off much easier after applying it.

Wow, im glad someone posted a thread about this. This is one of those things that bothers me, but im always too lazy to do anything about it. My rims attract so much f'ing dust. I hate it.

We use 3M degreaser and Meguiars degreaser.... I don't remember which one we used. Its some potent stuff, I hate getting it on my hands.... shit burns.
P21S is the best wheel cleaner I have ever used. I gave my wheels a spraying before I Zainoed them and only required minimal rubbing to clean them up.
I seem to like Simple Green, one of the best cleaners out there. And plus the smell of it doesn't get you nauseated.
