And believe me when I tell you this, the only people who are looked upon as being stupid, are those that walk into the event with an ego. This is one time where you will be humbled. I routinely have a lot of friends come out to autoX, and they almost always think, "Nobody knows my car better than me! I'm the best driver out here!" I ask them if I can drive their car for a fun run, they agree, and I beat their best time by 5-7 seconds... IN THEIR OWN CAR. And autoX is a racing event that's timed to the thousandth of a second. A lot of times, first and second place in a class are separated by 0.050 seconds or less.


Example: in New Orleans, my buddy Tuan had a 02 Mazda Protege5 wagon, automatic. His best time? 52.776. My best time in HIS car? 46.955. He was SO upset that he was humbled at the event, that he ended up coming to every event after that... and now I'd put him in a very high regard as a driver. If we were in the same car, the time difference would be less than a second.


Online Registration is still open, people. But spots are filling up FAST. There's a cap of 170 drivers. Last time I checked it, it was at 124.

Is it wise to use stock rims/tires aka 205/65/15 or my 97-99 SE 215/55/16?

No its a black SVT Neon with red Momo racing seats, pitch black windows. I tried looking for a picture but Joliet Sports Car Club website is no longer up.
