i think im gonna put the yellow top in the trunk and put my stock battery back in the front....it would give my system a better reserve. some people say since the yelllow top is a deep cycle battery, i should change my alternator or put it in the trunk and parallel it to the stocl battery.....anyone know if that is true??

the yellow top is definitely better for audio system if you need some major power. I don't know if running that setup will make it sound any better or anything, seems like too much work...lol....unless you have a crazy system i say keep it the way it is.

yea, i think im gonna leave it.i got it to avoid buying those WORTHLESS CAPACITORS THAT DONT DO ANYTHING IMO....if the alternator does goes out, at least i have the bumper to bumper warranty...

wouldn't the yellowtop kinda be like having a capactor that actually works?

I almost got a free redtop from work today...customer returned to exchange for new one before warranty expired...gonna try to get it as its still accepting change and the volts when tested are 12.72 which is pretty damn good

Isn't the optima battery 'shorter' than the stock Nissan battery? Did you have problems mounting it?

yes the yellow top is like having a capacitor but it DOES actually work

the optima battery is shorter so i put a couple of wooden bords underneath the battery to help level it out. this is important when ur tryin to put the positive connector on the yellow top. it was sort of a PITA...
