looks like an intake to the untrained eye. That blow-off valve looks ****ing scary..must be hella loud.

i dont think it would. IIRC those things are heavy as hell and it was putting out about 290hp stock. but the 0-60 was like 7.5 sec and the 1/4 was in the 15s.

well they were pretty porky ay 3600 lbs for a basic Z28.
I don't know all the mods yenko did to them, but i can't really see them having been happy with only 15 in the quarter.
http://www.yenko.net/features/2001/March2001.htm so it did 14 in the quarter, not bad for a stock 1981 car but pretty sad by todays specs
heck there's an automatic third gen running 13.79 in the quarter these days

wow that car stock was weak as shit. i got that 290hp number from a stock '69 camaro. 175hp @ 3600lbs= domestic rice. all show and no go.

yeah, typical of any car of that era.
mine has a whopping 165hp but it does have 245lb ft of torque
well at least for now :hide:
