Never heard of Hifonics or Crunch. Don't know too much about Lanzar either
I would suggest searching for some user reviews on the amps.

all 3 of the brands are pretty low end.
I'd probably use a Jensen/Audiovox first

Lanzar used to make some pretty good amps. If you are looking for a decent amp..... Fry's has/had Infinity Kappa amps there and I recall them having a 5 channel amp that was 50x4 and 150 for the sub. It was around 400 bux.
I would stay away from all those other brands. Personally I would find a reputable seller on Ebay, and buy some older Rockford Fosgate amps. Something circa 1995-2000. They used to make some really good stuff back then. Alpine also made killer amps, and they still make some decent ones. I am rocking 2 V12s in my Maxima right now. One is a mono runing my Eclipse sub, and the other one is a 4 channel that is powering my Bostons. I wouldn't say my system is THE shit, but compared to even the best systems from the factory like the 14 speaker Mark Levinson in the Lexus' and even some that come through my shop that are aftermarket- mine sounds cleaner, more livelier and punchier. Some of the guys here heard my setup, I can't complain about its output.
Alpine is all I really buy when it comes to electronics.

here is another question, is it ok to underpower sub and speakers or it's best to be as close to max as possible? i heard some good things about Lanzar, and found out some not so good about other two, but i don't care if amp is not putting out rated power, especially $200 one, because i doubt my speakers will hold even 80 rms, and i wouldn't want to be playing louder than 60 watts for my ears sake. as for the sub it can only take 350 max wats/300 RMS so i would have to decrease gains to keep it smooth without criping, distortion and blowing it up. my goal here is not to set off alarms but to have really good quality crystal clear sound.

^^^ its best to get as close to the subs rms outoput as possible.. because if u dont the amp will start to clip before the speaker does.. .and u dont want that..

k thanks, thats what i thought, so than i would need something that puts out more than 300rms, out of these 3 only Lanzar is capable to achieve that @ 2 ohms.
these are some other 5 ch that i could find

I think you're better off with a 4ch and then a mono for the sub. That jbl is pretty weak rms wise...

Mike, what do you think of the Alpine Type R subs? I am thinking of picking one up and matching it with an Alpine MRP-M850.

If you can swing it, Type X sound really good. Type R are decent but stay away from the Type S.
I would suggest Eclipse, even the aluminum (vs Titanium) sound good. I have one in my Maxima and it sounds excellent. I can hardly tell a diff from the Titanium I had before.

The type x will be out of my price range.... But carbon fiber sub FTW.

woowwwyy, this is ancient history.....llol, anyway, i have all of it done now, setup is pyle 6ch amp, lanzar speakers, and ID.v3 sub, for now mounted infinite baffle, thursday will be buying sealed enclosure to really see the potential of the ID. i'm surprised with the amp right now.... sound clear and gets loud, can't beat that for $$$, the only problem right now is that my tweeters are not going threw the Xover so i will need to add resistor and capacitor to make it work, or put them inside the door for less pain in the a$$. but the midranges are amazing, they sound fantastic, i'm planning of making mini desktop speakers using same ones i have in my front doors
