Are the cruise and power locks on the same fuse? And if so, any clue where it is? Those are the 2 power items in this 93 that don't work, and I can't find fuses for either. I found the ASCD relay, but I didn't try swapping that out. The master cruise light comes on when you press the dash button, but the SW controls do not cause the car to cruise. Maybe I forgot to plug the speed sensor back into the trans when I did the clutch... I'll start there.
As for the power locks, I have no clue. They do nothing. Any ideas?

power locks is probably the lock box under the dash.
the speed sensor is connected, otherwise you wouldn't have a speedometer.
I have a paper copy of the 92 FSM at home and the electronic FSM for 94 is online.

lock box... I'll look into that. Got a link to the online FSM? On the org I imagine, I'll look there.
good point on the speedo, I'm used to working on my b13 with the oldskool speedo cable. I really don't know what else could be causing this 93 to not cruise.

cruise is probably a failed ASCD unit, nothing unusual.
my B13 isn't cable speedo.
The FSM is in the images directory of my website.

that makes a lot of sense, Autozone has a repair guide covering 93-98 Maximas. Real handy to get info on a 95+ when you're trying to diagnose a 93. Whatever.

the 92-94 SEs are not covered by anything other than the FSM. the conventional repair manuals cover either the VG or the VQ.

Good point, 93-94 b13's had electronic speedo's.
Thanks for the info on the FSM. Guess I'll look for an ASCD unit at the yard this weekend. Hopefully I can also find a working Bose HU, tape or whatever. I kinda forgot this damm thing needs a power antenna too, last owner snapped it off. Is there a non-power antenna that can be swapped in?

I know some people luv these VE's, but seems to me like they sukk azz.
If I had the cash, I'd probably just drop a cheap VQ30 in my B13, now that would kick some azz. Damm I have really grown to love that go-kart.

Oh, I meant to ask (and this probably isn't the place to do it), but does anyone have a 4th gen Bose radio laying around for sale?

depends on how they are maintained. a properly maintained VE has some serious Balls, and will walk away from a VQ out on the highway. but like most cars of it's age they aren't maintained, they are just beat on.

Fixed at no Charge, DE has about 120WHP at redline on a A/T... where DE-K has about 50WHP more.
