So here's the thing. I've got a 91 SE 5spd with 160 stock hp. The goal is to get to 200+ using only bolt-ons. The question; which bolt-ons?

forget about it lol I've thought about it too. just get a damn 92+ SE and then try to bring it up to 200 unless your car is 100% mint and 100% mechanically sound.

Turbo / nitrous are the only way known that doesn't require gwtting into the motor

My thinking is that a turbo would cost about as much as hunting down a 92+ se, or at least the engine from one. Maybe that's the route I should take.

hahaha, a turbo setup with tuning and everything will run you $6k+++, that's if you want it done right. Remember when you go turbo you gotta make sure you have a ton of money set aside for after it's installed.

nah, a VG can be turbo'd fairly cheaply.

you do know that the vg from the TURBO 300zx is internally more built up than the non turbo 300zx or maxima or J30 VG. You do know that right?

well that's why you take the whole motor.
BTW the J30 had a VG30DE the M30 had the VG30E
