So... The Lady and I were out for a cruise... just changed out the fuel filter, all 3 O2 sensors, oil change with Royal Purple, Mobil 1 Extended Care oil filter, and 6 brand new spark plugs...


Keep in mind, I'm not a proponent of street racing. I actually think it's really quite stupid. For some reason or another, The Lady was running PERFECT, and she wanted to play.... so, we played.


A guy in a white, 06+ BMW 328XI pulls up next to me, and just starts revving the shit out of his car. I look over, smile, and shake him the finger like "nah ah ahhh.... be careful..."


Again, with the revving.


So, I look around, and this is the last light before open highway... it actually leads onto the main exit to 55. I give him a quick rev.


Light on the other side turns yellow, I rev up, getting ready to launch, he revs... out of the hole, we were dead even. Shift to 2nd, I start pulling on him. 3rd, he's in my rearview, 4th, all I see is a trickle of HID pattern from his headlights.


A few people from this site have ridden in my car... I don't consider it fast by any means. I do, however, know for a fact, it just handed a brand new BMW its ass!

You raced the weakest of BMW with an even heavier AWD system. Good job on handing him his ass. I'm just curious to know if you posted this on the org, because people there will give you stupid shit over a BMW getting beat. The bandwagon is so hard for BMW it can't loose in any category.

ya worst is when you pull up next to some 335i and he keeps trying to race you light to light and when you eventually race him and win he turns into some side street ...

^ Even though it's the weakest, I believe it's still rated at 230hp. But yes, BMW owners can get a little too cocky sometimes.

...yeah, good luck with that. There aren't that many cars on this board that can take a 335i.

That reminds me of how I out handled a brand new 5 series BMW on the twisties awhile back in the 240.

dammit i meant 325i ... either way most bmw people i have come into contact with aren't the .... shall i say down to earth people ..

I had a guy in a new 330xi on my ass on 59 before i turned into schaumburg as i turn he gets on my ass even closer so i slowed down for the turn put it in second from drive, as i turn right i get into the left lane right away and i just see him gun it in the right lane while m still in second he get to my passenger door and i just nail it the car went nuts to red line then i threw it in d and he was about 1 1/2 behind me when i slowed down around 100 ehh i wasnt impresed.
