First run to the store and pick up a bottle of tireshine, the foam kind. Go to the quater wash. Let your engine run and spray some of those engine/wheel cleaner on your engine, or you can get one of those engine cleaning bottles from the store. Let it sit for a bit...i leave it sit for like couple of seconds while i constantly spray it. Then put it on rinse and spray it down, watch out for the alternator and starter, try to use the least amount of water as possible after you're done let the car run a bit so all the water is evoperated. Next get our your bottle of tire shine. Spray your engine bay down with it anywhere you can. Anything plastic it will shine. Then let it sit till it dissolve. After it's finish, stand there and stare at your engine bay for a bit and you should be done.
