I ordered a Canon SD850 IS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120208) from Newegg for my upcoming trip to SLC for the Rolex Sunchaser race. I went last year and my camera (Olympus D560) was inadequate even for a Point & Shoot. It was slow, had a small LCD display, and didn't use rechargeable batteries. On top of that, the quality of the pictures as well as the options were pretty mediocre.
At any rate, I've been messing around with this camera and it's pretty slick. First batch of pics will be after the race or maybe I'll snap a few of "the family" later tonight.
And for all you DSLR-sackriders, my girlfriend/fiancee has one so it wouldn't make sense to have two in the family. Besides, I'm not as into photography so it would be wasted money.
