My RF2002 keeps blowing its fuse.
I've checked the complete wiring, everything checks out, no shorts.
No reason for it to blow save for an internal malfunction.
I bought it open box 3 weeks ago at best buy. Can I return it there, send it to RF for repair...anything? or am i stuck with a box amp...

Call RF and ask them how they want to handle it
you'll probably have better luck with them than Best Buy

Usually within 30 days you can bring it back to the authorized dealer for an exchange, if it is after that they will have to send it into Rockford for either repair or replace. Being that they are the authorized dealer that sold you the product, and that it is within the one-year warranty, they will take care of all costs associated w/ your return (shipping). I would check w/ Best Buy first and then if they give you a hard time you can call Rockford to get a Return Authorization code to send it back your self.

your ground and your power might be contacting each other somewhere, thats why it keeps on blowing the fuse, take a look into that.

I tried hooking it up in my friend's car, He has all the wiring exposed, there is no fault with the wiring, its internal. I'll bring it by BB today... see what they say. 50 bucks say they give me shit.

my friend got a notebook at bestbuy and he got the service plan for like 200 bucks. anywayz his fan was making noise, battery dead, and power plug was loose. brought it back, they took it for a week. Came back the guy was like yup we changed everything. He's like ok good. on the drive home, he looked at the paper that tells him what the tech actually did....and they ONLY changed the battery...yup took a whole week to do that! it would have taken me 1 whole month....

Lol, BB has always been to me, but i get the feeling it was because RF was footing the bill that they even talked to me. If it were an exchange theyd have been like Sorry, Damaged product, it breaks one of the 2000 warranty exceptions we made up last weekend. sorry :(

screw RF, i had that system in my car... the amp blew, sent it for repair and it broke again 2 weeks after the included 1 year warranty expired (and this time i didn't abuse the systemat all)...

was it blowing fuses right away or after some time after you installed it? Did it blow when you just turn it on or when you crank it up?
