If history serves me well, they might void it. Technically it doesn't affect much of the u car in a bad way if you go with sportlines. I'm pretty sure S-Techs will screw something up sooner than later.

it depends on what dealership you go to and what kind of day the mechanic is having.....like if you put them on, and your front struts blow(very common on the maximas new ones and older ones) then they wont replace them. same thing with the front swaybar links.....those links often tend to squeek or rattle, and if they see lowering spring on the car, they most likely will not warranty them.

They'll void it, I've seen it happen to a couple of friends of mine. Not with Nissans, but with domestics. My uncle had a mustang and they voided the exhaust/emissisons warranty because he changed to a hi perf muffler. I bet if they notice the mod they would void you suspension warranty as fast as you can.

they can't legally void the warranty on an unrelated part.
they can only void it on steering or suspension parts with the springs.
the muffler thay could only void the warranty on the bumper.

Brian is right. With my springs, i was able to do warranty work as long as it was unrelated to the springs themselves.

if they EVER try to pull the whole you put on a K&N filter so your warranty is void crap, just whip out the http://www.answers.com/topic/magnuson-moss-warranty-act?cat=technology
it specifically prohibits the OE from voiding warranties because of aftermarket parts.
However an extended warranty, has no such restriction so they can refuse to pay anything if you so much as put in a K&N filter.

a supercharger could have caused the ticking noise. but in a court of law they would have to prove it.

@ my dealership we see all kinds of Turbo and SCed RSXs coming in, no one ever tries to pull off Warranty BS.

Basically if its modified, you are fuked.

If you have the $$$ to mod the car, you should have 2x the $$$ to fix it when it breaks down. Don't pretend to be a bigger baller than you really R.

I guess i might just wait on that then im in no rush anyway it was just an idea i had for the car because i dont want to do any performance mods just throw my rims on and lower it and thats it im done i already did my sounds and tints and once summer hits my rims go on and maybe the tokicos and springs if i go with the drop and there is no warranty problems.otherwise i will wait until the warranty is done at 36,000 miles

yep, thats exactly what our service department does and says.

and they try to blame whatever they can on aftermarket parts, and nobody ever says anything.
