Boy am I pissed. I took the car apart only to find out the injectors I purchased are the wrong. On top of that I ripped a o-ring and of all things I relieve the fuel system and the fuel spray starts a small fire. I now also need 2 spark plug wires and some electrical tape to patch up two of my fuel injector wires. It could have been alot worse. Am I am mechanically inclined. Working on cars is not a major deal, except transmissions.

Anyway....

I have attached a picture of the injectors that were sent to me. The problem is the top part is somewhat square where the metal hat with the two screws sits on. The injectors on the car are round.

If anyone needs 6 refurbished/rebuilt fuel injectors let me know.

More importantly if anyone has 6 new/refurbished/rebuilt fuel injectors that are the correct one, please contact me asap. If you have some o-rings that'd be great.

*Edit*

If I get a fuel rail for these injectors from the another maxima, assuming the rail will fir my car, will the injectors work?

Those are the wrong ones.... the right ones have a more rounded top. Also the pintle is different.

I think those are 93-94 injectors for a VG30E or Quest injectors.

the injectors new are $80+ each. I got this entire set of rebuilt one for $130.00, but are obviously the wrong style.

I have teh correct ones and orings on the way.

THanks

I grabbed a fuel rail with injectors off ebay and im back on the road again. I will be sending my injectors to witchunter performance for a full cleaning, flowing and blueprinting for $17 each. I will then swap these in the car. Im getting pretty good at this. Should take about 1.5 hours to swap the rail.

This forum seems kind of slow. fourty views and two replies?

Well there are like only 2 or 3 guys here with VG powered Maximas.

And I did 2 of their car's injectors.

Takes approx 30 min to do all 6 when you get good at doing em ;)

I recommend sending the injectors out to Deatche Werks - they did the injectors on my Q45 and the engine ran smoother than ever.

1/2 hour? Dang...thats quick!

Any info or link for Deatch Werks? Are they local? I ran the numbers and it will cost about $130 includding shipping to have my injectors cleaned and blueprinted. Great deal!

They are located in Missouri if I remember right... or Kansas.

Don't expect alot of 3rd gen help around here, most people here drive 4th gens.

EDIT- they are from Oklahoma, never mind ;)
