lol did you do the work yourself or pay for it, also what kind of oil did you get and what type of battery. Sh!t all the nissan cars in my family had there oem batteries for 4-5 years so i'd say nissans batteries are pretty good

eh, my oem battery only lasted about 3 years as well. my alternator did blow out, so that could have caused the battery to drain completely and not want to recharge as well.

eh, i guess it varries.....but yeah, if it starts cranking slow, especially in the winter, thats a sign that it has to be replaced. you dont want that thing dying on you.

I still have the oem nissan batt with 195K on my 98. And you would have to be nuts to take a 97 Altima to the dealer for service.

I bet service dept.'s start druling when a retard like that comes in, that is more than the value of the POS 11 year old altima. Was it a guy or woman? That's unbelievable, did the customer actually need all of those parts or was it **** that service told him he needed? My wife has an 02 hyundai, and she took it in for warranty work, they tried to talk her into like 1k in parts and service for the 60K service (belts, hoses, timing belt, fluids). I picked up the car and as a rule i would never let me wife handle anything with a dealer or mechanic. I'm not picking on women, it could have just as easily been guy, either way a dealer service dept. will rape you repeatedly if you let them.

it was a guy that got it done....and yes the car had multiple CEL codes and would not start, and if it did, it would die out while driving, it had leaky gaskets, and the hoses were slowly leaking due to mileage. all that was replaced legit.......well, atlest from what i saw.
they did try to sell a power steering flush and a brake flush, but the customer didnt want that stuff.

Subwoofers usually add a lil more drain to a battery, and alternator

Nissan, from what I know, uses Interstate for their OEM batteries - or at least did for the 4th Gens... those are some of the best batteries you can buy (other than Optima etc.).

yeah, they still use interstate batteries. they just paint them black and put a nissan sticker on them

Acura uses Interstate also, and so does VW. I need to put in a new battery in the VW- similar to a TL battery. Its 4 years old now so its bout time....
I am putting a 12" Eclipse sub into the VW tomorrow, man I can't wait to hear this thing kick out some bass. Hatchback = awesome bass.
