Do any of you guys use sound deadening material like dynamat? I was thinking about puting it in my doors and maybe floors and trunk. Too many little rattles in the 5th gen for my liking. I'm one of those guys who goes nuts if I get a rattle. Oh and Also in the rear deck, there's a rattle coming from the rear deck, maybe the seatbelts or something back there, It's driving my f'n nuts. I was going to get some for when i get a sub back there too. What do you guys use?

get sub frame connectors & most of those rattles will go away. If you're still bothered then go with dynamat

for rear deck you'd have to do A LOT of sound deadening in order to get rid of it, and yes seatbelts contribute most of the rattle, the best way to get rid of it is to take off the speaker from rear deck, i have 1" foam in there, and it did help a lot but not completely, now i dont have anything in the deck and 0 rattle from it, but there is rattle somewhere under the car in the bumper or something well and the plates(will fix as soon as weather is nicer), and the rear view mirror!!!!!!

i just put a piece of an old t-shirt under the deck and its quiet, yeah rear bumper ratles only if bass hits, and front bumper from the mm inserts

i have no clue what it is, its somewhere on the left side, sounds like something really tiny, pretty high pitch rattle, you can't here it inside, only outside

You add weight, and spend money either way you look at it. The subframes, will diminish/disappear many of the rattles. I drove Mike's car which had stiff coilovers, and low profile rims on Higgins over spots that would usually get a creak or rattle. the car was very solid, and quiet. It will be less sweat of you to just get the subframes installed.

I found some stuff on the seatbelts and other rattles, they are driving up the f'n wall. I have to fix it, but I'm going to do some dynamat or something also. In my 4th gen I only have a 10", but I may go with something bigger/more powerful in the 5th. Plus I'm getting some squeaks and rattles from the passenger door.

I bought this Intinity basslink thing. It's got an internal amp. It don't need much bass, considering most of what I listen to is talk radio. It's just a 10" with like 200 watts. Nothing big.

yeah on a scale from 1-10 dynamat is def a 5, it'll work good on doors and somewhat on trunk but overall the money you spend on dynamat if you get it at the store isnt worth it, online bought probably would be worth it

From what I understand, that stuff is expensive......i remember when i helped my friend put 3 12'CVX in his 93 altima(boy did his car shake!!!) we looked at some for him.....they wanted like 300 bucks for just the trunk lining, and it was like another 100 for each door!!

Someone told me a long time ago when I worked at the JY that homedepot sells some roofing material that does the same thing as dynamat and other brands for less...Not sure what they were talking about nor do I know if it works. Does anyone here know what I'm talking about?
