My trans took a dump on me last night

:angry: Hey whats up ? hope everyone is doing well.I have a 2007 maxima Last night driving home from picking up my son as i was driving i kept smelling this burning smell,thought it was the car in front of me .As i came to the stop light when it turned green gave it gas the car started to rev up to about 3k rpm and wasnt really moving the car is auto and it seem like its slipping like if it was manual and the clutch was going out..Finally after reving it some more it started to pick up slowly and the trans started to jerk back and forth.Finally made it home thank god i was close,let it sit overnight went to start it this morning and the same crap,once i put it in drive that burning smell comes back and the trans keeps acting up.its still under warranty it only has 17k miles on it but hope the dealer doesnt give me the run around. :confused:

make sure you take off your intake if you ever got one
also make sure u roll in on stock wheels

there is no lights on or nothing its just that the car dont want to run it really really really sucks i always cruise that car i have only really punched it 2 times when i first bought it.I keep up with the maintenance and always pamper it.now im driving around in my girls family cruiser 05 dodge caravan.

Have em fix it and trade that sh!t in. This is why I refuse to buy Nissan products, as much as I hate em now- the GT-R actually has grown on me alot, not because "it looks cool" but because of all the rave reviews its been getting. If I could get one at MSRP I would probably get it.

srt8 are quick, GTO are nice but the trunk is tiny and they feel alittle heavy, also with only being made for 2 years parts are alittle more expensive and harder to get

look into the jeep srt8... my dad is happy with his jeep and so far, nothing major went wrong on it, just warranty work like rear passenger window motors and rear lift gate struts blown...

CPO is still better that some extended warranty, can't you buy extended warranty after CPO is over?

So i took my car in to mid city nissan today they told me they will call me once they check it out.it sucked this morning i had to sit around this morning waiting on the nissan roadside assistance towing to pick my car up called them at 6:30am and they said they would be here in one hour and they showed up until 9:45.What a way to run a towing business i see.Will never have them tow my car again.I probably would of done better time pushing my car and broken trans a mile away by myself.

Well here it goes with my car,It got dropped off yesterday they started looking at it today i call the dealer around 12pm and the guy told me that the mechanic had run some test on the car and he was at lunch once he was back he would finish and call me back.Well as 5pm approached i get no call back so i call the dealer back and the guy told me that the trans had gear trans fluid for a manual maxima and because of that they had to remove the trans ship it out to get inspected and possible the warranty was not going to cover it.So i was on the phone with him arguing about the whole deal being bull crap and i wasnt buying what he was telling me.So we left it alone he said thats all i could do for you and pretty much to go F*** my self.So i go to the dealer with one of my buddys and as we pull up to the service dept and park what do i see my car pulling in to the service garage.I walked in and talk to the mechanic and he said he had to do some adjustments and all he recommends is a trans fluid change and i will be squared away he also took me for a drive in the car and gunned it couple times then come back.So i have the guy i talked to on the phone write me up for the trans fluid changeout and he has the nerve to tell me that he doesnt know how the trans was going to act to the new trans fluid but he thinks that it might still need to be shipped out.Aint that about a bit**:nutkick: i almost got ripped a new one for something not even necessary thats why i hate big dealers for servicing vehicles

jesus....is that mid city screwin with you....cuz if they are, tell them you are going to call 1800 nissan 1. you know, dont even tell them you will file a complaint just do it. so, file a complaint against the service department, the service writer and the service manager. tell them you have a new 2007 with so and so miles, and the dealer is refusing to change a problematic trans becasue they say someone tampered with it. tell the person that you are filing a complaint with that you dont know what the dealership is telling you, but that they are forcing you to buy a transmission flush for....$XXXX nissan corporate sent out a memo to all the dealers stating not to perform any aftermarket flushes or anything like that on the newer cars. trust me, start burning the fire under their balls, and they will help you.
