Before I sold my sub setup, JL 13w7 running off a JL 1000/1 amp all my lights would dim nasty when I turned it up. The rest of the system was stock Bose. For my new setup, I am planning on a completely revamped audio system, and I think I'm gunna get another 13w7, I love loud bass. I am thinking about putting in a high output alternator. Can anyone educate me on what to do?

don't know anything about alternators but a lot of people said that a correcly installed grounding kit will do the trick for dimming lights... i have been noticing that mine dim at times also so i will be installing a grounding kit when i get a job...

well it does when ur grounds are terribly f ucked up... u need to have the shortest and largest power wire as you can to eliminate bottle necking...
