View Full Version : Schedule for Maxus 2008
Here is the schedule that we will be going by for the weekend of Maxus. Times are not exactly accurate, give or take a few minutes, but you get the idea.
Friday:
4:00pm - Meet and Greet at Hampton Inn of Hoffman Estates, IL
7:00pm - Eat Dinner at Giordanno's in Streamwood. IL
8:00pm - Gather everyone for the cruise.
8:15pm - Leave for the cruise to the City of Chicago
11:00pm - Return to the hotel.
11:15pm - Anything is up in the air. Bars, clubs, late night run to a fast food restaurant.
Saturday:
9:00am - Breakfast at the Hampton Inn
10:00am - Head for the city of Chicago
11:00am to 11:30 am - Arrive at North Avenue Beach
5:00 pm - Leave North Ave. Beach
6:00pm to 6:30pm - Arrive in the Melrose Park, IL area to eat dinner
8:00pm - Arrive at MP Grand Prix (Indoor Go-kart track)
11:00pm - Head back to the hotel
Sunday:
11am - BBQ/Carshow at Busse Woods in Schaumburg/ElkGrove, IL

awesome......i may just try and meet up with everyone for a cruise when you get to the city; would be pointless for me to just ride out there to come back "home":cool:

Xander I know a couple of people might want to chill out a bit on Friday night after the cruise. i plan to make a trip to Azeems cigar shop/hookah lounge. Thought i would put it up there since some people might have the energy to do something after the cruise.
If you need suggestions or help for clubbers/bar hoppers I would suggest Saturday night, and i know plenty of places to suggest.

Grove 22/23. You can't miss it. the signs will be posted by Higgins, and just look for all the Maximas.

the numbers are not really clear. More people are talking about showing to certain events, but few are committing to be there. It all depends what events you're referring to Rob. The biggest turnout will probably be the BBQ

i'm definitely pushing for the bbq... there's a lot more going on this year than last year... hopefully it will be a good turn out as well...

That's what I'm aiming. This would be after the cruising downtown. Friday would be optimal in my mind because it's a lounge, and people can just chill, and chat to get to know each other. This is of course up to each person that wants to be out late on friday night. Some people will be coming in from other places, and driving might wear some of them out. Either way, I'll let you know how many people are coming Azeem.

Xander, i know many will be tired so I'm throwing it out there. i know it was planned to go out at least one of the days last year, and I felt bad for those that wanted to do something but didn't. Mentally this weekend is going to be more tiring for those planning, or with things to do for events.
For the most part I have noticed many people go bar hopping on Friday, and clubbing on Saturday. Well, they do both but lean more towards this trend.
Either way, it's all up to the individual.

i went to the admiral once, when i was like 18 i think. it was pretty good from what i remember. got change at the walgreens across the street. seems like they stock up on singles...lol.

Guys I got off the phone with Xander.
Anyone down for the Cruise but can't make it to dinner need not worry. If you want to join, everyone is meeting up at the Hotel no later than 8pm. If you miss the rendeveousz(sp?) Try to catch up along 290 going East, or call one of us for updates.

Just money. The event is being catered. $5 for all you can eat.
And another $5 for beer if you 21 and $10 if you want to enter the carshow. The trophies are going to be a lot NICER than last years.

Thanks for setting up everyone, Xander, Kozue, and whoever else helped did a great job. Prizes were nice and having a Nissan Corporate there made it even better.

Good Job on pulling the event off as it was done. Food was good, prizes were nice, and the turnout of locals was pleasantly surprising.

Stainless Steel FTW. BTW Mike, check the meets section. I'm planning on heading to the drive in movies this Friday night. It's pretty cool because you can bring your own food, lawn chairs, kids, and even pets.

Unfortunately I work Friday nights. Taking vacation starting 7/3, maybe if you guys do anything that week I can hang. I will check posts for upcoming gatherings.

Good meet guys good meet! Thank You all!!!! Especially Kozue, Dave, and all of you locals that have put some time into Maxus this years and last years. I have to much to say but its 1:33 AM I just got home from taking a friend out to do some sight seeing with her and I am still recovering from all the walking I did in the past 4 days. Thank god I took Tuesday off. Many of the pictures can be found on the org in the Maxus sub-thread. And again THANK YOU ALL!
