So not to sure if anyone remembers the issue with my static on my fm channels, well anyway I took my car 3 weeks ago about this issue and they ordered " parts ". But I think they lied to me and never ordered any parts..
So i take my car again in there last week and this time they ordered a new radio for it, but i know it wasn't the radio because i had a D3 installed in it b4 and i took it out and put the factory radio in... But they replaced it with a new factory radio ( i told them many times it wasn't it )and charged me $50.00 ( extended warranty charged )
but anyway I told them it was the Antenna amp that is giving the issue and they said " you don't have one in your car" I am like BULL ****, i know it is in there.. They kept on denying it..
So today I got in there with PROOF and a part # they it is there and they are saying.. OH someone hacked your wiring harness and it isn't covered under warranty , and then i said " why did you replace my radio then " they could not give me an answer... So I am like the wire harness is fine and you don't want to trouble shoot the issue and you don't like the fact your wrong, so yelling goes back and fourth.. They FINALLY decided to cover the Antenna amp but I have to pay another $50.00..
So tomorrow I am going to call the GM of the dealership ...
btw, I really hope I am right about being the Antenna amp because they said that is the ONLY thing else they will replace and if dosn't work I am on my own.. WTF right!!!

Maybe its because you are going 100mph, or faster!
J/k. Hope you find a fix. Or just sell the car for a kia.

Ahh lots of things, distance to radio station, maximas antennas suck ball sacks, maybe a loose wire somwhere, i barely listen to the radio anymore as its all the same crap over and over and over again.

ha, yeah steven. start dealing with another dealership. file a customer complain, and request the owner or atleast leave him a voicemail. they hate that. you will set service straight.

I have static on my ****, too... but that's the least of my worries right now.
I would've raised hell in that place, though. Hopefully you get this resolved.

ummm article from 2004, yes MKIV Golfs like mine are mostly built in Brazil and Mexico with POS parts and workers who get paid little and care less about quality.
Very little VWs are made in Germany, mine was a limited run model. Creeping up on 80K miles on mine with no issues.
The MKV models like the Rabbit, GTi and Passat models have been really good. My cousin works @ VW as a tech and says the new models are like night and day difference.
So VW can improve its quality, and I still rather buy one than a Nissan. Your basic 15K dollar Rabbit has got better interior materials than a 40K dollar G35. My R32 interior can rival that of any Jap luxury brand.

I remember when my blower motor blew and they refused to fix it although it was under warranty .. I had to complain sooo much it was ridiculous. Eventually I got the number to the Better Business Bureau and ... I think Nissan America...after sooo much ridiculous hassle and time wasted they finally did it and gave me free brakes .. not sure why they caved so I guess my advice is to keep bitching about it.

exactly keep bitching about it. file complaints, thats the only way **** will get done. complaints to corporate are posted by nissan, so anyone can look at them. nissan hates when dealers have complaints file against them....

The new rabbit/golf has the biggest POS interior i have seen made by VW. No way it can touch the quality of the new G35, but im sure the quality is a tad better then the mainstream sentras, corollas, etc.

I do agree with you Rob, because I know that the interior in my R32 is ages above of the 07 Jetta we got on the lot.
But the little things that count- light up door handles, auto "3 blinks" for lane change when you hit the turn signal stalk, "slow down" at the very last end of the wiper cycle when they are coming to a rest, etc etc.
It makes the car feel much more luxurious. I use my blinkers all the time, so the convenience of the 3 blinks when touching the turn signal is awesome ! I can add that to my car for 20 bux and I just might.

my impala has 3 blink turn signals, drive by wire and traction control, all power everything and so on .....and its the base model that costs like 20k .... and gets 30 mpg on the highway.. so what...
you know well that the only good vw's are the 1945 beetle.. and the micro bus... thats it..
the rest just blows... all i hear is people bitching about having problems with vw from everything from electrical problems to all sorts of shhit...
im not saying your car is bad cuz it probably isnt... ( i assume it was made in germany and not in mexico?)

eh I'm used to seeing burnt plastic pieces from every VW that has entered the shop I worked at and the JY I know work at. oh well every car has its faults. VWs just like to melt plastic from their fuse boxes and surroundings ;)
