Effective 1/1/09. A few changes will happen. As you can see the forum is now open to all Chicagoland Nissan owners as reflected in the name. New ownership has now opened the door to expand our community, in a sense we're starting from scratch.
The forum is still locally owned, and not owned by a corporation, or any other type of business. In order to keep operating, and keep google ads down to a minimum we're asking for you to donate once again. The asking donation is $25, and all proceeds go to pay to keep the site running. As stated before, none of the money is being pocketed. Any 'excess revenue' will be used to sponsor future events.
We are grateful fro those that have contributed so far. Members that contributed in the last couple of months are set for the year to come. Anyone that has not donated will become a regular member beginning the new year. PM space will be limited to 100 messages, and access to OT Private will be revoked.
Lets keep the site running, and make it fun for years to come.

Most people with green right now donated in the past. I hate to do this but in order to keep the site running, I'm asking old members as well as new members to donate again. Last time donation money, plus a couple sponsors was enough to keep the site open for 2 years. Besides, the usual perks I'm aiming to make this site more interactive than it already is. Some people have talked about the old Nissan days of 'The Driven'. The site might be dead but the idea still lingers with some of the old school members. The plan is to bring some of that back, and this is the beginning. Once again, this money is not for profit, and it's all going to the site.
I'm pretty sure that most donating members can vouch for my honesty in the matter.

I was there when you ordered the server :wink: It's def not cheap running a server. It's going to be up to us (Chicago Nissan Club staff) to help keep this place running smooth with the available resources we have.

A lot of the mods/admins (including myself) do this just for the good of it and not the cash.
