i'll be going tomorrow with my friend to check out few G35x, what should we look at that might be a problem in those?

avoid 03-early05. the brakes are absolute shit. squeaking over bumps from teh front is compression rods. bose headunits are shit. check for valve covers leaking, esp drivers side.

yes elm is correct , I have heard to look at 05 or 06 the older modes are crud.

Some 05-06 "rev-up" had burnt oil, but I do not know how common this was.

i dunno, 2.7T sounds nice but what i've been hearing is that they are horrible when it comes to reliability, not just 2.7, audi in general

NOOO stay the fuck away from the 2.7T.

Get the 4.2L V8 with an extended warranty, those things are pimp ! I highly recommend the newer body style.

man shit, i dont think my friend owns a gas station, he doesn't even want 3.5, and 2.8 A6 is dead slow :( in my eyes

back on to the g35x...

well... the 05-06 X never got the rev-up motor. so no oil burning issue. they have the typical TSB out, rattles and creaks. fuel door not locking or staying locked i dont remember. front suspension rods go bad.

normally that is about the only common problems. Other then that its the random stuff. overall i like my g35x but i wished i went with a WRX/ legacy GT but non was to my likings. I got the G for a fairly decent price so i took it.

MPG is sub-par. navi says i get 16.5 mixed driving, i did the math and i got 17.2, with the 4th gen auto all stock i managed 20-22 same driving...
