Well since Hotshot is out of business, I am left with no other choice but to get a SSAC. Secondaries are 2.5" vs Hotshots 2.25, which allow for better flow and more power. Copper or OEM gaskets are a must.

A hangar would need to be welded on like so......

Reason I am posting this because it crossed my mind that for $250 this would be a nice touch to my HKS, a mod that actually gives me POWA!

Chris since your in the "game", how do you like the SSAC header? Any complaints? What should I watch out for? I heard some people used some copper plug for the egr?

the copper plug on the egr was that some people were having small leaks from the egr itself from not being all the way sealed tight in the bung. i tihkn superblack can get you one, or give you the dimentions if you have that kind of problem.

you will also have to worry about your rear o2 sensor in terms of space, or relocate it as it will point straight up into the chassis.

okay.. we have the cheapest SSAC header we could find on ebay at the time.. no complaints so far BUT installation requires some modification due to cheap mfg process.

We had to file down to get a flat plane surface on the connection to the block AND had to file out one of the mounting holes to get it to fit over the stud...

And do NOT use anything but the copper gaskets as you already know.

The cheapie headers seem to last just as long as the hotshot expensive ones... I never had hotshot but know of plenty of them that cracked on owners and the cheapie will crack eventually.. so we spend another $100-$150 to get another when that happens (Not yet though).

oh.. for the EGR leak issue we just put in some washers and plugged the leak.. done deal...

lol when i had one my gasket burnt out and made it REALLY loud.

Otherwise though, SSAC is just as good as the Hotshot ones.

Have they been tried on any of the Sentra forums? Biggest issue is always fitment. Good price, but is it going to give you anything other then noise?

oh no, that reminds me of obx... they don't even give a solid brand name...

trust me, don't mess with it if it hasn't been tried by others...

the obx header i got for the altima ended up barely fitting on the car. the connection from the header to the y-pipe hit the engine case and major modification needed to be done to fit them...

i remember i had a pacesetter on my old sentra, all the paint flaked off a minute after i started the car lol the fitment was good, didn't look pretty but it did its job hehe
i paid $50 for it new from a member that bought it and never used it

ours is 2.5 outside diameter and 2.3 inside diameter.. I have YET to find a cheapie that is actually 2.5 inside .. so what your going to get is probably just as well..

if getting a used one, remember to get brand new gaskets and do yourself a favor and get the copper gasket if you dont' want fumes in the cabin!
