IN the past..... S14 is a good chassis fucked up by an NA motor out of a VAN ! Some of you probably never even seen the Nissan VAN... it ran on a KA24 just like all of Nissans middle class sedans, trucks, wagons etc.

Aftermarket in the US finally hit the S chassis HARD when the cars where WAY out of production. 240SX would have been a runaway sales success to Nissan had they given it the same engine Japs got. Oh and if the whole "drift" scene hit us here before.

I was into JDM for a long long time..... I still have old Options magazines from mid 90s where the S14 just came out in Japan.

No more JDM for me, simply because Japanese dont build desirable driver's cars on a budget no more. Z33 was a lump and big $$$ for garbage interior, oil burning engines... and R35 is expenssive ass turd.

Personally I'd say the R31 to the R33 chassis is the best, the technology is far ahead of its time when these cars came out.

I've seen the Nissan Van when I was in the Philippines, small looking mini vans, but you should never take these things on a road trip and especially if you are going to sit in the back seats, not much leg room at all. And these things were dog slow. But these things never had the KA in them they had the CA18T motors which came in the 180sx which is the first version of the S13s before they came with the SR20DET motors in the Silvas. Although they came in the Nissan Presage which you might be thinking of.

Vans that I've seen and ridden include the very rare Nissan Axxess and the Stanza van...

not everyone in the states (and mainly chicago) realizes the full potential of the s-chassis.

Whether it would be drag, drift(obviously), or MAINLY grip (circuit) people underestimate its capabilities. That's why its a good time at track days when people tell me that I have a drift car, yet I pass them on every session. And they have no explaination. A well setup S-Chassis on a track can outperform ALOT of set-up cars. Its just people don't pursue it.

If anyone on this board see's me at a track day, i'd be more than willing to take anyone along in a session.

Megas.... I'm into track days ;) But I punked out and moved onto AWD machinery powered by Nazis. All good, you don't see Euro cars anywhere but on a road course.
